Look, you people have got to stop with the puritanical notion that "protecting" young people from nudity is helping them in any way, shape, or form. Boobs are just a part of the human body and a fact of nature, and the idea that there's a certain age one has to reach before becoming aware of them is retroactive bullshit.

(This is not to say that I agree with directly posting them on the fora- after all, some of us come here at work or school and the environs must be kept safe to that end. But not doing what comes naturally simply because you don't want your kids exposed to it isn't keeping their minds "clean"- it's just making them neurotic.)

Yes, but the reason there are mods in the first place is because some guy posted photos of his ass. The Mgt was concerned about covering her own butt, legal wise that is. Here's what the mgt said when she asked for people to help her moderate the forums:

I'm currently looking for moderators for the PrincipiaDiscordia.com Forums. I'd like to hear from people who visit the forums frequently (at least every couple of days) and who would like to look out for objectionable material. All that I'm looking to eliminate from the forums is lewd content (i.e. that which a child or young teenager definitely shouldn't be viewing) and harassment of forum posters. If you are interested and have at least 100 posts to the forums already (i.e., I know you're invested), please reply to this and let me know. I'll probably decide on two or three moderators within a couple of days. Thank you so much to those of you that respond!

My primary concern when moderating posts is to keep it work/school safe, but I can understand The Mgt's concern. She's nice enough to give us this free forum, so what's the big deal about respecting her wishes? Just link it somewhere else and there won't be any problems, k?

Yup. I have the greatest respect for the mgt and would hope that the rest of you do, too. With that said, here is what she's asking of us. I don't think it's all that difficult.

I just want to clarify a point - when I said lewd content, I mostly just meant explicit pictures. You can say "fuck" all you want, and discuss whatever you want. I don't want to limit freedom of speech. You can even link to explicit pictures, as long as it's only a link, not putting the photo in the post itself, and as long as you warn people that it is explicit (or "not work safe," or whatever you want to call it.) I'm looking for the lightest possible amount of moderation (short of none at all.)

Art is a concepot an artwork is a crystallisation of that concept and given the large preoponderance of different types of art in the world the operational definition of the term "art' varies from place to place and person to person. While I'd be loathe to point out that any of the pictures we've seen so far in this thread as "art" I would also like to proffer medeo's point and say that this thread would constitute an artistic merit as the struggle between sectarianism and open-mindedness within all of us.
That said, there is the issue of who doing what on the forums, I'm the one who was responsible for mods being modded in the first place when some troll started posting gay porn of bush and saddam (edited of course). The point is not about what we believe, in this instance it is about what the majority of the populace believes; and like it or not, because they can be freely and easily exposed to the contents of this forum there are certain conventions we are going to have to observe.
At the very least, we should have a content warning posted between the main page and here.
