Things seem to be going ok, and hopefully Lost wont be ruined with some JJ Abrams hackjob Fringe tie-in ending.

Oh sure and they even have Charlie from Lost, oh and the lady who played Penny.  I watched the first couple of episodes of Flash Forward but it just didn't draw me in like Lost.  It was an interesting premise.

writers work in the same building for most production companies dont they?
so his shows would share simular concepts but not the actual plotline

I hear where Cram is coming from...I stopped watching for a while because it pissed me off when a single moment would get stretched out over several episodes for the sake of heightening drama or something.

It did get better, though, and the show has an interesting take on how to tell a story.

Also, did anyone notice the parallels between the ash used to keep out the Nemesis and Yog "anything for a laugh" Sothoth being trapped by geometric shapes in Illuminatus?  Remember the Illuminati member who is killed by good old Yoggie whilst attempting to redraw the pentagon with chalk after it is partially destroyed?

The protective circle is very esotericgenerically occult...  a protective circle is used by the 'magician' to keep whatever he's summoned from harming him. Generally, a summoned thing would be trapped in a triangle (or possibly a pentagon ) so it couldn't do what the Smoke monster did to Bram.

Most occult stories use protective circles and whatnot, but they usually require an elaborate ceremony or incantation to go along with it.  Bram desperately using the ash, along with the hasty circle made at the temple reminded me of the Illuminatus drawing in the missing part of the Pentagon.
