It has been awhile since I came here.  But now, I realize why I left: there is no purpose.

You all talk of how sucky the world is, moaning about your lives and constantly re-itterating how terrible the world is. 

We ALL do?

I see conversations occurring between friends. Like all friends, we talk about human issues. This includes both joy and suffering.

Many of us want to change the world - discussing its flaws is more productive and incendiary and inspirational than the alternative.

But the truth is: you're pointlessly hurting yourselves.  Popping an instinctive bubble your brain has made to make life wonderful-seeming.  But if your personal life is good, you'll find a problem in your country, or the world, or something.  Searching for another problem you can't fix just to remind everybody, you were right and Logic is all there is.

I'm missing the point. How should "we" be acting? And please be specific - I may be a member of a community, but I am an individual first. Should I be more complacent with my life? Should my goal to be a bliss-ninny, cheerfully ignorant of tragedy?

If Logic is truly all there is, you might as well kill yourself-- you'll find no solace in it, real or not.  My only real advice being: scrap everything but the pinealism and the recipes on here.

scrap the times we've met up in real life and ran through the streets giggling and stapling posters to every inanimate object

scrap any new ideas or projects we've worked on together

scrap our emotions and sympathy for each other

scrap the collective identity we've been brewing one soul at a time

scrap any new interpretations of Kerry and Greg's pristine masterpiece

scrap the art, the music, the video

scrap the analysis

scrap the fun and games

OP: This is a place for people to get away from the norm. Meaning that we can come here to complain about everything that has gone on without having to hear people bitch back about us being too pessimistic or whatnot. What is reflected on this board only reflects what they want you to see. If you really don't like this then I suppose you need to go find your "Happy Forum, with Rainbows and Candy Canes." Good luck. Because with the internet it's DAMN hard to find a place where people are just positive all the fucking time.
