Uggh. LOST series finale was a LETDOWN! I swore of TV for a reason. This is what I get for giving it a chance. That's it. No following TV series' for me ever again. Dissapointing...

I've never watched a single episode of Lost. Never seen more than 5 minutes of it, I think. I'm going to take this opportunity to point and laugh at all the people who wasted their time on that series.
You cannot fathom the immensity of the fuck i do not give.

Look, asshole:  Your 'incomprehensible' act, your word-salad, your pinealism...It BORES ME.  I've been incomprehensible for so long, I TEACH IT TO MBA CANDIDATES.  So if you simply MUST talk about your pineal gland or happy children dancing in the wildflowers, go talk to Roger, because he digs that kind of shit

Wish I could say the same. I KNEW the story was too complicated for a satisfying ending, but I just HAD to see for myself...

It seemed like this episode was like a "fuck it, the show's over, WRITING IN ONE LINERS!" and "LETS BE SUPER EPIC YAYYYYYY!" writing clusterfuck.

However, Charlie/Claire, and Vincent laying next to Jack made me cry.
It's all fun and games, till someone gets herpes.

So, the ending was basically a rip off of the Newhart show.  Where it is revealed that entire series has been one big dream.  So all of the flash sideways deals were just part of one big "dream" all of the dead Losties were having.  At least that is my interpretation.  And the plain wreckage they showed during the credits.  Whas that supposed to be the Oceanic flight or the plane that Lapidus and crew were attempting to get off the island?

Yeah, it was a little disappointing and seemed to be a bit of a cop out the way they ended the whole thing.

I keep seeing all this lost shit on facebook. Seeing as it's a series finale, how long has it been going on?

I heard about it for the first time a couple weeks ago, when I was looking for information on John Locke(the English empiricist) and the first thing that came up was a guy from a TV show named John Locke. That's kinda fucked up.

Either way I'm glad it's dead now.

I heard it was explained with time travel magic parallel dimensions. I was laughing my ass off at how dumb the ending sounded, and the fact that some people watched this show to the end.

It's just like the X-Files.  They had this great mythic story Arc going in X-Files for a number of seasons, and then, they fucked it all up in the last two seasons.  Granted part of that was Duchovny's fault for bailing for greener pastures.  I'll admit, I was on the Lost ride for the past 6 years.  Though, I don't watch a lot of other TV so I don't feel like I vested too much into it.  Nevertheless, the ending was like math homework.  Where the student gets the answer from the back of the book, and then doesn't show his work.

So... They really ended it with "and then I woke up"?

AFK

Well.  Kinda.

Spoiler warning and such:

Basically, Jack shows up at this funeral home where the other Losties have been gathering, and he thinks its the funeral for his Dad as the airline finally located and shipped his father's coffin.  But he is told to enter in the back where he sees the coffin.  He touches the coffin and has flashes of the Island universe.  Opens the coffin, and its empty, and then there is pops, standing, seemingly alive.  That's Jack's dad pretty much tells Jack that they are both dead and so isn't everyone else in the funeral home.  And he also remarks that they aren't in any "now".  It seems clear that at a minimum he was saying that the parallel universe off the island was not real and was simply the souls of the Losties wandering around in some kind of purgatory.  What isn't clear, to me anyway, is if the whole damned thing was purgatory.  That they all pretty much died when the plane crashed in the first episode and were caught in this tropical purgatory.

If that is the case, it's a pretty cheap way to end it.  Basically saying the whole 6 seasons were never real, but basically one big long trudge towards the light at the end of the tunnel.  But I'm not sure and it was vague in that typical Lost-fashion.

Oh, and the real kicker was when Jack's father opens the doors to the church and this big white light shines through.  Big cheese factor right there.

oh is it over?

I stopped watching after the first season when I realized I was only hanging on in hopes that people would people die.

How did you put up with those irritating characters for six years?

Hi guys, thank you for watching lost. The real twist at the end of the series is that the whole thing was written by one of Enki's Markov chain bots.
