Oh, all right! In a more honest mood of self examination, it's the half buried memories of having danced a hokey hornpipe through many a dewy meadow, in my boxer boots, with a bad mullet and a mad eyed bint,& bleached out skinny jeans in the early 80's!
I assumed that my inner cringing applied to everyone for a moment or two, but I guess it is just me after all.    :asshat:

Oh, it certainly is. Infectious.  It's actually one of my favorite non-metal early 80s songs. As for the video, I think the fact that there is a dwarf dressed up in a jester costume (barring the yellow tee-shirt) playing the mandolin and a blonde that looks psychotic when she first dances onto camera, hair all flying about make the video great. And in case you didn't know what the song was about, there are some seemingly irrelevant clips of bombers at the end.
