So today was my orientation at URI, and I got all giddy...:D

And then I got molested by a furry ram... :|

And then I was comfortable enough to take a shit in the bathroom. :mrgreen:

And then I realized I haven't gotten in my refund card yet and other's have...and now Monday will be spent, once again, knocking at financial aid's door, and going, "Fix this, now." So I can make sure I can actually afford to live while going to school.   :x

And it looks like my books are going to clock out at about $425 if I actually buy them.  :horrormirth:

My new availability has already been turned into work, along with the academic calendar so they know when I'm going to be taking finals, so they can't fuck it up.  :roflcake:

...and then as I was walking out of there, cursing financial aid and the university for possibly borking my account again, I remembered, exactly, how I felt in 2002 when I told myself I was never doing it again.  :walken:

The way I look at it...is that either my fucking mail is bouncing stuff back again, even AFTER I fixed it, twice, or since my financial aid was accidentally cancelled back in July when the cards were sent out, my name wasn't in the system. I checked e-Campus when I got home and my funds are scheduled to be disbursed this weekend into my account, so next week I need to go to Financial Aid, order a new card or see if they can cut me a check. I kinda want to pay rent and get my books.

I also have to get my ID card next week, so I may as well do that on my first day off next week...What SUCKS is that if the Providence campus can't help me, I have to go all the way to Kingston, but sometimes I just don't think phonecalls cut it.

When not studying => either teaching English or advertising my tutoring. I can't get a real job without a work permit, and I need to work to eat.
