LET'S WATCH GROW GNARLY PIRATE BEARDS AND WATCH SAVED BY THE BELL

WOOOO!

Seriously.  I do NOT have to put up with 2-3 15 second commercials to watch a 3 minute video.  FFS.

Also, I want the MOVIE to play.  Trailers should be in the extras section of the disc.  Also, I do NOT expect to have to watch fucking COMMERCIALS on a DVD I have PURCHASED.

I was gonna say, I would suspect that the fact the family is dirt poor and has to use the same bottle over and over again may be a factor.

I dunno, actual proper water bottles (the ones that won't give you cancer if you reuse them) are pretty cheap, hell I sometimes get them for free from various places.
It's not trolling, it's just satire.

That was probably one of the most boring infographics I have ever read.

we could probably make some awesome infographics that start off like a list of facts and generally descend into madness

I can see these things as being very capable of influencing behavior. Like with the bottled water one, after reading it, that memory gets triggered every time I buy a bottle of water. It's probably influenced my choices to some measurable degree. I remember this discordian flyer from yesteryear (something from the appendix of 23ae) which listed the causes of death of a bunch of super-rich people. the end conclusion was "STOP WORRYING ABOUT MONEY AND START WORRYING ABOUT THE ILLUMINATI"

I wonder what a good topic would be. The facts don't even have to be real, they just have to sound real. and above all it has to be presented in a visually attractive format.

if anybody's interested in collaborating on an idea like this, let's you and me start a thread about it

Hey Cram, you did post that cellphone infographic on purpose to be boring, right? I kept waiting for some punchline, but all I caught was a spelling error.

I thought it was kind of interesting...but I text a lot, and I'm in the age bracket that does most of the texting anyway.
"I dispose of obsolete meat machines.  Not because I hate them (I do) and not because they deserve it (they do), but because they are in the way and those older ones don't meet emissions codes.  They emit too much.  You don't like them and I don't like them, so spare me the hysteria."

But ... all the quoted statistics were exactly what you'd expect and mostly equal over population groups? Can't be serious, right?

Some of it I didn't know (like the average phone call length). I also didn't know the exact figures, and those come in handy sometimes, so I like knowing them.

5. was unexpected. I mean, I'd expect the amount of calls to fall, but I'd expect the average length of those calls to increase.

Also, I hadn't heard 13. before.

But yeah, mostly stuff I would expect.

Guess I'm just smarter than you, then.

I think this could be really amusing.

A full page of:
Animals account for so-and-so amount of food consumption in the world.
There are X billions types of beetles
A Turtle is born every 55 sec in the month of September
Godzilla's foot size is 17ft from heel to toe.
(maybe people will realize that they were believing some "facts" with any inclination to verify them.)

Also I don't know if anyone else saw pacman in the bottled water infograph.
