TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization announced that it believes rinderpest has been eradicated, making it the second virus in history, after smallpox, to have been eliminated by humans.

Monkeys do something right, ITT.

Hurrah!

Though I'm fairly sure there is a "secure lab" somewhere with some smallpox in it.  Probably not secure enough.  But that's just my own suspicions based on massive fucking secret bioweapons labs built during the Cold War which each side kept secret from the other - really fucking secret.

But it's not in the wild, which is definitely a good thing.

There are 3 extant samples of smallpox.  One in the USA, one in Britain, and one in Russia.

:mittens: Woot!  I hope polio is next. Measles would be a lot closer if it weren't for dumbass hippies worried about autism.

They stopped doing lab research on it after a report was accidentally infected at the University of Birmingham. The only people who officially have samples are the WHO, CDC, and the Russians. I wouldn't be too surprised if there were some rogue countries that kept samples in a secret vault somewhere. You know, "just to be safe".
You cannot fathom the immensity of the fuck i do not give.

Man, we must have been wasted when we got our hands on that.

It gives me a strong urge to hunt people down with tranquilizer-vaccine-dart guns, tag their ears, and release them back into the city.

Also, I don't think the autism/vaccine idiocy is restricted to hippies, I'm pretty sure anti-science conservatards eat up that bullshit too.
