Now go do something with your lives, damnit. I know days off rule.

Oh, and, you know, buy a war veteran a coffee or something...but you should do that everyday.

We don't get a day off.  We call it "Remembrance Day" and stand in silence for two minutes, to remember how much it sucks to serve in the British military.

Ain't no days off for me, even if I don't have class today (but I don't have class any Thursday).

But I love my veterans, and I remember that there was a terrible war that had an armistice signed this day. Though, it wasn't much later when there was a worse war that we don't have a day for (at least not a federal holiday)...

Although I assume in Canada it is more of a case of "how much it sucks to take orders from the British military, whose attitude to colonials is less than ideal".

That would be a correct assumption. God save the Queen, or some such shit.

*points and laughs*

*got paid a day early too, suckers*

*also works in the only state to still observe Victory Day...not so proud about that one*

If I really had no respect, I'd put on my dress blues, go to the mall and walk around until people bought me stuff. Fortunately, the blues don't fit me anymore, and I actually don't even know where they are. I think my mom has them.

I know that feeling...only they locked the doors to my University building downtown today. I suppose if I wanted to go to the library to work on my term papers I'd have to go to the main campus, since all the public libraries are closed. :rogpipe:

Remember, in Rhode Island, we take holidays VERY seriously.

Speaking of which, I probably need to get a move on since I left my shit in my office last night. I am, fortunately, not locked out of my building.
