I'm just surprised that living in Mexico these days hasn't made Joh'Nyx the world's leading proponent of horrormirth.

I mean, the Zetas? Beltran Leyva? Sinaloa? It's like a sitcom, only in real life and with 30,000 homicides. :lulz:

Did you read about the 14 year old cartel hitman the US authorities picked up?  No punchline here, that was an actual headline on the BBC a couple of weeks ago.

I nearly shat myself laughing.

Quote"I participated in four executions," the 14-year-old assassin calmly told police after his arrest at a Mexican airport, admitting to beheading his victims. "When we don't find the rivals, we kill innocent people, maybe a construction worker or a taxi driver."

Known as "El Ponchis" – the cloak – Edgar Jimenez was arrested alongside his 19-year-old sister at an airport near Cuernavaca, 50 miles south of Mexico City in Morelos state.

The pair were heading to Tijuana, from where they intended to cross into the United States and stay with their mother in San Diego – where he was born. He was caught with two mobile phones that held photographs of tortured victims, and told police that his sister was in charge of disposing of the bodies.

Child soldiers aren't an entirely unknown phenomenon, but this kid is different.  He seems calm, collected, intelligent, and clearly psychopathic.  I have my doubts about the kidnapping story as well.  Brainwashed child soldiers are usually told to kill their parents once their training is over, as proof of their loyalty.

So yeah.  There's a kid a decade younger than me working as a contract killer in Mexico's never ending drug war.  Wheeeee!

Yeah, his story is too... rehearsed.

Why couldn't he just take up torturing peoples pets and setting things on fire, like an ordinary teenage psychopath?

Because he doesn't want to conform!

How things are going, its not too far fetched - really, i rarely bother to update the Mexico Fail thread because its too many things at the same time, constantly.

That's not what I was getting at. That sort of thing may be going on, but in this kid's case... his story is a bit too neat and tidy and his delivery is too much like he's reading off the script.

I wonder if i need to work on that, or if it stops being funny at a certain point.

It does stop at a certain point, then it gets funny again.  Often funnier.
