I never meant this to be taken this way.  I was in no way wanting anyone to "dumb" things down.  The OP was in response to a few things that had been said in reply to my posts where I actually thought I was making a fairly intelligent response.

I never wanted anyone to change their wrting styles or to change anything.  It was a rant because I was irritated. 

Now the whole thing has taken a fucking life of it's own, people are mad at me and that was never my fucking intention.

But seriously, I think we all do bring our own thing to the table.  I don't think anyone should be intimidated by anyone here despite their wealth of knowledge in a particular area.  We ARE still human.  We can only know so much at a time.  I mean, I have a pretty good knowledge base in areas involving my career and education.  So I can blather on and on about all kinds of stats and figures and research in substance abuse, public health, and public policy.  But damn, I obviously don't know nearly as much about biology stuff as Kai does.  I get pretty lost in the discussions on quantum mechanics.  While I'm pretty good with American public policy, I'm not as good with the foreign policy stuff.  The stuff around Circuits always gets me lost too. 

But when I see Cain or LMNO or Kai or any other spags go off in their areas of expertise, it doesn't make me feel dumb.  I admire them for their knowledge base in their areas of expertise.  I wish I had more time and capacity to be more learned in those areas, but it just isn't possible for me or any of the rest of us.  We all have a piece in this puzzle.  And we all have a lot to learn from each other. 

Right. I've learned to stop feeling threatened by it and start enjoying the ride.
