TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

BADGE OF HONOR

If I ever met anyone exactly like me we'd probably end up killing each other.

There can be only one.

I do wonder what I'd be like if I were male though.
The Jerk On Bike rolled his eyes and tossed the waffle back over his shoulder--before it struck the ground, a stout, disconcertingly monkey-like dog sprang into the air and snatched it, and began to masticate it--literally--for the sound it made was like a homonculus squatting on the floor muttering "masticate masticate masticate".

There's an actor that looks like you.

BADGE OF HONOR

Not any more, he looks like a bro now.

I've come to the conclusion that I'd probably be a total dick, for reasons that are too elaborate to enumerate but include family life, upbringing, and environment (i.e. Utah).

Look, asshole:  Your 'incomprehensible' act, your word-salad, your pinealism...It BORES ME.  I've been incomprehensible for so long, I TEACH IT TO MBA CANDIDATES.  So if you simply MUST talk about your pineal gland or happy children dancing in the wildflowers, go talk to Roger, because he digs that kind of shit

Sorry. I travelled into all your parallel universes and killed everyone I thought might make that joke.

It's not just how we look or act either.  Our lives have followed similar patterns.  Both married around the same time.  We've been home owners for the same period of time.  We both horrible navigators.  I've even discovered that we both briefly lived in the same Maine city for approximately the same period of time.  Again, I know this is like Law of 5 stuff in action, it's just kinda weird how much overlap there is.

this is pretty much the story of when I just started to get to know my girlfriend.

(except the details and patterns of our lives were ours of course, not living in Maine etc)

Okay, this has been bugging me so I need to get some input, feedback, etc.

Have you ever met your gender opposite/doppleganger?  Someone who has so many similarities to you with the glaring exception of reproductive organs and the like?  I think I'm working with mine.  Like, working next door to mine.  This woman is the same age as me.  She has similar mannerisms.  We're both cocky yet reserved.  For christ sakes she has a brown pin-striped suit that looks identical to mine.  There are other things but I won't bore you with the details.  I'm sure I'm reading too much into this and it's probably a Law of 5s thing too.

Any of you ever experience anything like this?

Hint for noobs:  RWHN was actually kidnapped and replaced.

The RWHN you have today is not what we had 2 years ago.  For one thing, he has way better tits.

Heh, she's getting ready to pop out another kid.  And after not working with her for over a year, I've realized she's actually pretty different.  Must've been some strong swamp gas in the air the day I started this thread.

I met my doppelganger, similar physically almost identical mentally. He's male though, as I am.  It kind of creeps us both out.
You're a special case, Babylon.  You are offensive even when you don't post.

strangely yes.  I bought a phone from her after answering her add on Craigslist.  We met at a popular local club to do the exchange.  She showed up dressed to kill and handed me the phone.  I was doing my best not to drool and be the creepy craigslist guy, thanked her, shook her hand and went my way.

When I got home, I discovered she had forgotten to clean out the sent folder for pictures and had left some very private pictures on the phone.  I thought about it for a day then decided I'd send her a msg through facebook (she gave it to me so I'd know what she looked like and to know what I looked like so she could find me)  I explained that she had neglected to delete the photos but not to worry as I'm not the sort to put them out in the interwebs.  I also noted that we have the exact same birthday, only 8 years apart.

She sends me this long reply apologizing for the pics and saying she searched everywhere for them, thought she'd deleted them all, etc.  She was leaving for new york in two days and suggested we grab a drink and laugh about the story.  I missed her damn call the next night, but she msgd me and told me I owed her a drink date next time she was in town.

Turns out we have the exact same tastes in music, are both CAD and design heads (hers is structural, mine electrical/mechanical) we're both smart asses who have a bit of a problem holding our tongues.  We both read everything we can get our hands on. We lived not more than 4 blocks from each other when she still had an apartment here in town and when she came back in town a few months later and called in the drink date, we discovered we know quite a few of the same people.

We went out and hit a couple of spots at the beaches then drove back to town and hit an industrial club we'd probably passed each other in several times over the years.  After about 30 minutes she suggested we get the hell out of there.  It's still on my top 5 for hot, sweaty, late late night sex.

She calls me every time she comes back to visit, and I've dropped in to see her in NY once.

It's probably never meant to be, but fuck if we haven't had a good time with it.

all from a $100 phone on Craigslist.

Why isn't it meant to be?  That sounds fantastic.

there's not much of a chance she'll leave NY now that she's been there a year and loves the city, and there's not much of a chance of me moving to NY for a myriad of my own reasons.  At least not in the near future.

But yeah, that girl's pretty fucking awesome.   Certainly one of the most intriguing chance encounters and relationship/friendships in my life.
