1. zillions. I should give credit to http://robohash.org/ -- I completely forgot because when I coded it on sunday I was gonna use it for myself only. Then I made the big red button. Then I thought "waitaminute there's no way for them to turn it off. Fuck it, let's sleep on it and deal with it tomorrow". Then in my sleep the idea for the emoticon hunt game came to me, which I made monday evening.

2. yes.

oh yeah, the reason why I made it for myself only at first was because I kept getting confused when people changed their screenname and avatar, so I figured if I change everyone into a unique robot I might eventually recognize them by their robot avatar.

see? I made it because it's USEFUL.

EoC doesn't make creepy.

EoC makes creepy worse.

I haven't seen it either.
perhaps it has to do with the selection of forum theme? (i'm using the 'manuscript' theme)

I only tested it for the default theme and the limbo party theme.

I also only tested it for Firefox and Opera, although Fred reported it works fine in Safari too.

No, I use firefox

huh... that actually is useful...
is there a way that you could make it so that it freezes everybody's avatars at their current state when you hit the button, rather than changing them to a determined set?.... hm. no i guess that would require saving the avatar set of everybody for each person who freezes it...

i like the idea, though...

Faust

I don't think I'm going to get to see the button... :(
What does my robot look like?

First time I ever saw the button was just a minute ago.  I failed to click, as I had clicked on something else before I saw it, and the new page loaded.

Srsly though, only seen it once in three days.

Cain

OK, I've now seen it twice in half an hour.  This time, I did click.

Your robot is a rather striking colour, Faust.
