Oh man. This is so great.

I was seriously getting tired of the traditional wingnut conservatard nonsense. This is a whole new can of crazy, with all the classics plus some new shit I've never even heard being seriously suggested before! The "Right to Travel Act" abolishing drivers licenses? My god.

Blockpage...

Check it at home; it's definitely worth the read.

It's an overview of Christian Reconstruction.

(Incidentally, Warren Ellis predicted this, stoning and all, in Transmet, under the name "Rechristianity".)

Oh, also, DP...These folks refer to themselves as "Christian Libertarians".

I'm not going to hit you with THAT brush, but I thought you might like to know.   :lulz:

And I appreciate it.  While I may display some of the outward characteristics of a filthy libertarian, I have never once been mistaken for a Christian, much less an abomination of a combination called a "Christian Libertarian"

Yeah, they're sort of the opposite.

Financially neo-conservative, and socially middle ages conservative.

oh, you!   YOU!

Sometimes I just wanna give you a big 'ol hug.

You're far too good at this  :pokewithstick: than anyone has a right to be.

We're going to pass some new laws that allows the government to step in and take a much larger percentage of your hate and redistribute it to those most in need of more of their own.

While we realize that you likely have a sizable portion of your hate invested in rage creation, we feel your hate would best be served if centrally distributed to help equal out the rage disparity.  The rage gap is widening with each passing decade and we have to do something about the top 1% having all of the hate.

Some children have no rage at all and no hate in which to build their own foundation of rage.

Think of the children Dok.

Um, I was stating that reconstructionists are the opposite of libertarians on both spectrums.

And I GIVE my rage away.  Do you REALLY want the government - even for a moment - having this much rage?  Even to prove a point?

Ah, misread it, or misinterpreted it.

As to you giving your rage away for free, for some reason a Jerry Lewis style Rage-a-Thon popped in my head, with you as the host.  Complete with identical copies of yourself sitting at phone banks, telling people what for and spreading the horrible truth.

I don't know why that's in my head, but I'm thinking someone with superior WOMP skills should probably WOMP the shit out of it.

Wowwwww.... this is like the Tea Party but on acid! AWESOME!!!
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

That "right to grow" bit looks like a good idea.

It sucks when batshit crazy people have good ideas, since then they get tarred with batshit crazy.
You're a special case, Babylon.  You are offensive even when you don't post.

Merely by being alive, you make everyone just a little more miserable

Rushdooney and Gary North...ah, what guys.

North is actually crazier than Rushdooney, as in, actual possible psychopathy drives his worldview.  He recommends that stoning adulterers could be a "family activity", something which brings the community together.  North also wrote a book about Marxism and occultism were philosophically linked and would bring down science/Christianity (no-one mention to him Chaos Marxism, or he may just go crazier).

The thing is, this kind of "Theocratic Libertarianism" would actually fit in perfectly with a lot of the Tea Party's rhetoric.  It exalts God, batshit insanity and "small goverment" (except in those issues which displease god) all at the same time.  I suspect the Koch brothers would not be pleased, since they tend to prefer a more secular libertarianism (going by the Cato Institute, at least), but that is what the religious right in America does best - infiltrate and take over Republican-created organs for the benefit of Movement Conservatism.

It should be noted North was associated with Ron Paul's 2008 campaign...I don't know if that is still the case but its one of the reasons I was so sceptical of his 2008 campaign, along with his incoherent libertarianism (no taxes, but no abortions either).
