So, we gonna intervene in Bahrain now?

Hahaha no, silly little human rights activists.  Bahrain is strategically vital.  Besides, our fine and democratic allies, the King of Saudi Arabia and his gaggle of fat oil princes in the Gulf States have already intervened, so it's all good.  Yes, OK, they did intervene on the side of Bahrain's government, but that's not the point.

And neither is teachers getting a beatdown with stiff rubber hoses for tweeting and texting about human rights.  Note that yet again, Siemens and Nokia are aiding a Middle East regime in fighting against democracy protestors violent insurgents and traitors.  Just like they did for Iran in 2009.

And just why is Bahrain so strategically vital?  Well, the Fifth Fleet are positioned there for any future war against Iran, it's true.  But it's more than that.  Bahrain is a tax haven.  It's also the largest financial centre the world.  Combine the two, and what do you have?  Dirty money, and lots of it.  Terrorists, intelligence agencies, drug dealers, smugglers, celebrities and bankers, oh my.

Bankers especially.  Banks are the largest global users of "tax havens", which are not so much about taxes as lack of accountability.

And since when have banks had to suffer any sort of set-back?

So no, silly little rabbit, there is not going to be an intervention in Bahrain.  Now, stop your yammering, as my head hurts.  Though probably not as much as Abdul Ghani Al Khanjar's does, right now.

Things like this are like a tick on your asshole that you just can't get a good enough hold on to remove.

Things like this are the reason I laugh when the US empire and their UK lapdogs spout a whole lot of sickly sweet humanitarian bullshit to justify stealing some land by force. They're so transparent about it, too, I wonder why they bother. Tradition maybe? Like once upon a time the people gave a flying fuck and would hold them accountable for it? Nah - that's just too far fetched  :lulz:
