So if you noticed the trap first, you could disable it by dragging a rock or vase on top of the tablet

Or a...basket?

That may be the case.. the basket case.

When I finally got around to visiting Azura's Shrine yesterday (Malog Bal's mace pretty much requires having her Soul Gem on hand) I was thinking something along the lines of the shrines from Oblivion.  Nope, they went all out for her.

Saw that mammoth trap Sunday, Cram.  I was already sneaking so it went right over my head.

Favorite moments so far: Sanguine's entire quest for his Rose.

While sneaking up on a sitting bandit leader at the end of a dungeon, he starts singing in a very sing-song voice the words:

"Kill HIM, If he talks to me like that again
Kill HIM, while - he's sleeping"

Almost had to let him live for the fit of laughing that brought on.  Almost.

If you haven't played yet, this seems about the best video to get a feel for the game.  The commentary is also fairly amusing.  Also, I have to say, that's a pretty damn dynamic start to the game.

I think i'll play as the anti-social librarian, sorting people's bookshelves alphabetically,  buying and reading every book in the game.

Majorly disappointed with the mages guild quest. Only took a couple of hours to become archmage. In Oblivion I felt like I'd earned it.

Plus point - the handcrafted dungeons are awesome. No more generic deja-vu delving, every time you head underground it's completely new!

So, in anticipation of this coming out, I'm replaying Morrowind, and having a hell of a good time.

I'm playing a custom class, an Imperial, mostly stealthy, but with some nasty surprises in the form of restoration, illusion and mysticism spells he's packing.  Think nightblade, but with the redundancies removed and more reliant on stealth and combat than magic.  Of course, this means I'm playing with the Thieves Guild and House Hlaalu in mind, and so the first parts of the game are fairly easy.

So, anyway, I'm getting to level 10, and I'm starting to get a bit bored.  I know through my previous playthrough I'm not yet tough enough to take on the latest quests for the thieves guild, the mages guild or House Hlaalu especially (the Inanius Egg Mine).   So I decide doing some looting of caves and random tombs is in order.  I check out some maps to find some locations where suitable loot can be obtained, and off I go.

Only, accidentally, I run into a Dunmer stronghold (for those of you haven't played, a huge "abandoned" fortress) instead.  And I've looked at the page for that particular stronghold before, and I know it's crawling with NPCs with at least five to eight levels on me, including a pair of battlemages.

I hate battlemages.

But then, I think about it, and I decide a little sneaking around can't hurt too much. I can grab some loot, and maybe pick off a couple of the lower level NPCs there, making my next run-through easy.  Only, I seem to have a little bloodlust problem...because once I start killing, I find it very hard to stop.  Not only that, but after I dropped the two barbarians guarding the entry, I take out some Dunmer agent...armed with a glass jink blade.  And I happen to be very good with small blades.  Oh yeah.

I'm jumping out of shadows and paralysing people and then chopping them to pieces with a larger blade like there's no tomorrow.  Bam!  Battlemage down in 7 seconds.  I went through that place in an orgy of death and destruction comparable to an invasion of Mongols (except I did free the slaves).  I had so much loot that, when I eventually gathered it all up in one place, I had well over three times my own carrying capacity there, and was forced to teleport out.  When sales were eventually made (via Creeper, naturally), I had doubled my gold overnight, whilst also gaining three levels.

Man that was fun.  And afterwards, I decided to rip apart the Inanius Egg Mine and the nearby bandit camp also.  Jink blades are damn gamebreakers, in my hands.

Joined the Nightingales last night. Sounds a bit gay but the armour is sweeeeet! Now I'm in a dwarven ruin. Fucking dwarves. I hate dwarven ruins. Morphing ball-robots from the shit star wars sequels have no place in Tamriel, goddamnit!  :argh!:
