This is like 12 years old at this point, but well worth a reread. One of the most deliciously over-the-top (yet believable) trolls I've ever seen.

The first thing I think when I look at these guys, is that if they really want to be badass they could start by getting in shape.

I wanna go to that Mall.  Gangs sodomizing people out by the dumpsters, kidnappers holing themselves up in the Gap, armed idiots in bodyarmour patrolling the place like a cheap knock-off version of Blackwater...sounds like a Neal Stephenson novel.

And he gets his orders from "high up", because protecting the mall is a matter of national security. Who knew malls were so important?
