I think we can all agree that the good old days of boosting other boards' memberships are gone, mostly because forums in general are enjoying less and less traffic.

Instead, I think we should try some IRL recruiting.  I've got a flyer in mind, and I'd like to know if anyone can PDF it up...This would be for anyone's use.  I would also encourage others to do the same.

I can scan a paper file into a pdf format, but it tends to look like a scanned piece of paper.  I can't do graphic layout, either -- and I think something more than wall o text is what you're looking for.

Yeah, we've noticed it, too.  We don't know what to DO about it just yet, but we're working on that...And we want YOUR help.  If you're tired of people dumping on your individuality as "issues", if you're tired of keeping a straight face when idiots try to keep running the same zero-sum games on you, if you've ever wanted to get a little of your own back, but you're just a little too smart to become violent about it...Then we may be what you've been looking for.

What we AREN'T:  We aren't mentors or gurus.  We aren't the answer to your problems.  We aren't a violent movement, nor are we interested in any –isms you may have clinging to your backside like so many horrible leeches.  We aren't political, except in the Hunter Thompson sense of the word, which is to say we work at controlling our environment, rather than espousing some collection of dumbasses who want to be elected.  We aren't conspiracy theorists...The conspiracies WE worry about are openly bragged about by the conspirators, on all major media outlets.

What we ARE:  A collection of people who have spent the last decade trying to learn to see things as they really are, after peeling back the advertising gimmicks, rhetoric, and conditioning that we – and you – have been exposed to our entire lives.  We are a collection of pranksters, wise-asses, misfits, and malcontents, and possibly the last hope for bipedal life on Earth.

If none of this appeals to you, then perhaps you should put this leaflet back where you got it, quick.  Before anyone sees you, and turns you in to The Authorities.  Or just points at you and laughs.  Put the damn thing down and pretend you never saw it.  Good doggie.

I have no idea how to make a QR code, but if someone makes it I'll slap the image in there. I'll have a couple versions ready tonight.

If anyone is interested in doing actual hand outs, I can slap together a set of quartersheet flyers, too. Boston Common has a lot of silly religious people handing out shit when the weather gets nice, no reason we can't get in on that gig.
