Yeah, speaking about patterns, the time he started acting like a dick was about the time he stopped mentioning his wife & kids, and just started mentioning his kids.

I mean, there's no harm there.  Every dad wants to brag up his kids.  I know I do.  It's just the relatively recent omission of his wife at the same time that he started using this board for his "lol" at other peoples' expense was kind of noticeable.

So, yeah, Nigel does a thread called "uncomfortable topics", so you run a thread under the same name.  Not funny.  I do a thread called "you people", so you do "ewe people".  Not funny.  I post a thread, you slay it with pedantic bullshit.  Again, not funny.

You made some stupid connection with Nigel's thread because you wanted to see that connection and get upset.  You created that monster, not me.  You and Nigel own that, not me.

If it makes you feel any better, I still have a healthy respect for you.  I think you're a damned good (and prolific in a high-quality kind of way) writer.  This place would suffer mightliy without your content. 

But I do feel like you are prone, with me, to read things that aren't there. 

I do disagree with you a lot.  We have different philosophies that guide us, I think it is fair to say.  But I think you often mistake my disagreement on any particular topic of discussion, including discussions of board dynamics, as some kind of personal thing, when it isn't. 

Yes, sometimes it IS personal with Nigel.  I just don't like her, and I've been doing my best to avoid her, but however smart and intelligent I may be, I'm still human.  In fact I have her on ignore and only see her posts when others are quoting her. 

But I really don't go out of my way to purposefully and subliminally poke at you.  I really don't. 

The suicide thing came out of the fact that it is something I deal with occassionally in my job, so I wanted to share, and tried to preface that post with the fact that I was just interested in sharing the info.  This stupid thread was honestly just a stupid visual pun riffing on the You People thread title.  I honestly couldn't even tell you what that thread was about.  I only barely skimmed it.
