My mind just won't understand this. I just can't see Paul singing anything that Nirvana did. And even if they do some entirely new song...just doesn't work.

But it seems everyone is reporting it from the same source, The Sun. So it is possible that it isn't true...

Rolling Stone pretty much killed that theory, Sita.

"Update: Krist Novoselic has confirmed on his Twitter that the group will perform a new song, which he described as "kind of 'Helter Skelter' meets 'Scentless Apprentice'" that "rocks with a heavy groove.""

Ah.  We must read between the lines.  Paul will be with "Dave Grohl and Friends" which includes Pat Smear and Krist Nobodycanpronouncehisname.  So, expect no more than one (1) Nirvana song, and it will most likely be their cover of "Man Who Sold the World."  If more Nirvana songs are played, they will most likely also be from the "unplugged" versions.

But I could be wrong.  I would like to hear McCartney scream "rape me" a whole bunch of times.

Ah. Hadn't come across the Rolling Stone link.
Well...guess it might work?

You know I wasn't going to make any effort to see this concert, but now am going to have to  :|

Time to rework the "Jesus Loves Fisting Bono" meme.

I was up until midnight watching this stupid thing and still didn't see Paul.
Hubby was able to stay up till the end, though, and said that the song was ok but definitely sounded more like something Nirvana would do.

I wish I could get back that half hour (or however stupidly long it was) that Kanye was on. It was an amazing coincidence that as soon as he showed up I started feeling ill...

Thanks MMIX.

Song was ok, but Nirvana it was not. Also, I noticed that there was a Twitter feed above the stage, which I find even more distressing.

No probs. I won't be breaking down any doors to get it on vinyl or whatever the modern equivalent is but it was definitely ok music. I am also delighted to state for the record that I have no idea what a twitter feed above the stage is. That is a technology too far in my book.

Hopefully the DVR recorded it alright and I'll be able to catch the end later today.

I did notice the twitter thing. It's getting annoying how many shows are doing that these days.

Its incomprehensible. It encourages you to pull out your phone and talk about the thing that youre not paying attention to.

People cant even focus on a live performance anymore because of social media.

Wait.  He's a bagger?

No, I think he's a "Direct Democracy" guy; i.e. Occupy.
