Switched to e-fags 6 months ago. Still addicted to nicotine but I'm not inhaling a bunch of shit to get it. I'm fine with that. Nicotine is nice, its the lung cancer and emphysema and shit that goes with it I wanted to avoid.

If you end up breaking, rather than kicking yourself for it, I second Pent's suggestion that you invest in e-cigarettes. The upfront is expensive, sure, but compared to the cost of the real thing it's nothing, PLUS, NO LUNG CANCER.

If I smoked more than a pack a month I would do it, even. I might do it anyway because the older I get the more smoking hurts and the less I can stand the smell.

I used that when I tried quitting weed once like 5 years ago. Now I have a hideous caffeine addiction AS WELL. :lulz:

Also, I'm pretty sure nicotine is a carcinogen all by itself, and while e-cigs lessen the odds of lung cancer I don't think they eliminate them. But all in all I prefer them to the normal ones.

E-cigs probably do come with some health risks, but it's almost certainly far less than tobacco cigarettes. The FDA is in the process of evaluating them and it will be several years before there's any solid evidence one way or another. My main concern would be weird ingredients in the vapor, especially the flavored vapor, since they're all manufactured in China and unregulated.

Because I started smoking when I was 13 or so and my body freaks the fuck out every time I quit. Which I need to do again soon. FACK.
