A Kiss is So Soon Forgotten

As the form of a flame: at first, only a pressure. As between sulfur and stone. A held
          breath, a waiting. As for a son, already born. In this way: the world enters,

intrudes. Becomes, again; what it already was: a name only later applied.
          The thought precedes it, as a hand precedes the word, and is not

changed in the account; is, against the blankness across which it moves, only
          afterward leaving its mark, just a general application of its

own desire. So that, even if, in being drawn against that distance, it fails to indicate
          anything at all, or chart the difference between what it is and is not; is still

....

I think we'd need to see some of her earlier work to be sure, but I'm not sure the effect Tucson is having is a good one. Unless SHE is exerting an effect on Tucson.
