I've noticed that the richer people get, the harder it is to tell whether they're rich and crazy or homeless and crazy.

Incidentally, also a problem concerning the person pictured above.

I have no idea who that guy is.

But I know who this guy is:

I think I saw him wandering up and down Alberta without a shirt yesterday.

He's Alexander George Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath, 359th richest man in the UK, owner of a very good Safari park, painter of erotic murals and a man who names his (70+) mistresses "wifelets" and installs them in cottages on his estate.

Yyyyyeahhh see, I don't think it's healthy for people to be that rich.

Lol. My guy is Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath; the stately home he is standing in front of is Longleat; and yes he owns it. I didn't know who yours was so I tried my basic standby of trying to save the image to get the name. I am truly ashamed to admit that even knowing he was John MacAfee didn't help at all. Until I googled him. Oh, THAT MacAfee.
Goes to show that mostly you really can't tell a book by its cover.

He is super-duper special.

He is super-duper special.

Only insofar as some people have sufficient financial capital as to enable their social capital to be able to survive stuff/behaviour which is infra-dig. I don't think that that makes them any more "special" than anyone else, just well-positioned.

Because if you aren't rich or poor enough not to care it is important.  What we look like determines how easy it is for us to get jobs and to network with people in order to fulfil both social and physical needs.

Answering to both of you:

From how we look like, one can infer a lot of things, but it really depends on your observational and correlational/interpreting skills how accurate that information is.

Lets see, for example, obesity: the common social judgement is that, that person is lazy, a slob with low self-esteem... but what can we really infer? Nothing much that is truthful, but it is still done. Maybe that person is very much hard-working, but has no free time to eat healthily or exersice, or maybe they have some medical problem that makes them fatter than usual, or hell, maybe just a very slow metabolism.

The previous example was just body, but one could get into the accesories and clothing one uses, one may, with varying results, infer things, because in the majority of cases, we choose what we wear, and those choices have resonance with what we are. For example, id never ever wear Abercrombie, just for the association with the recent statements by the owner or CEO, cant remember who it was, but it is very well possible that a "good" person doesnt know about those statements and thus continues wearing Abercrombie.

As with any information, it should be triangulated/verified with other elements before making a judgement.

That is a very sound point.

He was surprisingly decent as a politician, I must say.  Which is just as well, since, up until Labour's reforms he was a Peer in the House of Lords, and so couldn't be voted out of office anyway.

I was just in Brooklyn. I did not see these. Sounds like I need to go over to Park Slope.
