Oh, so Black men just need to be RESPECTFUL... you know, keep their eyes on the floor, say "yes sir" and "yes ma'am" when a White person addresses them, stay in their own places and avoid walking through White neighborhoods. Problem solved!

I am a black male who grew up in the inner city of Atlanta and no one ever followed me in a mall. I don't recall any doors clicking when I crossed the street. And I never had anyone clutching their handbag when I got on an elevator. I guess having two awesome parents who taught me to be a respectful young man paid dividends.

What I'm thinking is that American media has reached a sort of apotheoisis, has become some sort of stupid and evil God that shows us the very worst human beings in the world, and presents them as some sort of authority figure or expert witness.
