Well, see, here's the problem with both ideas.

Right now, we haven't got a bus capable of reaching one far enough out to do any good.

And if you blow the fucker up too close, all the entrained crap hits like a shotgun blast rather than a bullet.  There's ways of doing this shit, but launching nukes is just Goddamn stupid.
