I guess a principled and consistent Buddhist, or a principled and consistent Taoist, indeed, possibly even a principled and consistent Discordian (were there such a thing) would say that this is correct, happiness is madness.

They would then go on to add that unhappiness, of course, is also madness.

They would possibly do this with a massive grin.

The Buddhist would then add that madness must be dispensed with...
