OK luckily I just started on my chemistry homework and so far it's really easy. Phew.

Fair warning: I will probably not be around or available much at all for the rest of the term. I am kind of freaking out.

You're gonna be fine.  You do what you have to do, and we'll be here when you get back.

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

I am trying to take deep breaths.

Thank you!

I am strangely unequipped for memorizing enormous nested lists. ENORMOUS. NESTED. LISTS.

I need to come up with a way to communicate this information to my brain in a way that allows my brain to retrieve it. I think maybe one clade at a time. Thinking about it is giving me a stomachache.

Have you considered Memory Place work? Tagging "rooms" with colors, symbols, etc in your memory, having furniture or objects to reference to jumpstart the sub-list. It's kinda neat.

So, my grand Youtube earnings for the first month...£60.06.

Which, since Adsense takes the first £60, is 6 pence.  Well, it's a start at least.

If it makes you feel any better, I've not got around to it yet either.  It's something on my to do list...once I finish off these damnable writing assignments.

Season 4 Game of Thrones teaser.  14 and a half minutes, to be exact (yes, I'm avoiding doing more writing).

Also ALSO (I'm the only one here, so I'm going to hog up Open Bar for all its worth) Youtube has given me the ability to do livestreams.

I don't know if they will be any better than Twitch, but I'm willing to experiment, if other people are interested?

Well, it wouldn't be today, if that is the problem.  I'm uploading the next part of DAO, and then I'll be doing some recording this evening.  Tomorrow I'm cleaning the house, which it is long overdue for, and so wont be able to stream anyway.

Y'know, we went over that in one of my psych classes, but it is so very not how my brain works it's hilarious.

In truth, it's really that I watch the vids at work, and I pause it every now and then. I suppose I could do it during lunch, but I have a feeling that would be at like midnight or something for you.

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

Have you ever had a friend who seems so hell-bent on stupid, pointless self-destruction you weren't sure if you want to remain friends?

I have one who is, seriously, the biggest trainwreck-for-no-reason. I've mentioned her before; the one who was hooked on pain pills and was Color Religion Seasonbird's girlfriend? Well, she got off the pain pills and started eating again so she isn't totally emaciated, and she got back together with her husband and then had some other crazy affair with a client that ended badly, so very badly, and now she's convinced that she'll drop dead at any moment because she has high blood pressure and arrhythmia, which is a condition I call "welcome to 40". So she says there's no point in going back to school, and I'm like, whatever you're clearly SO BORED THAT THE ONLY THING YOU CAN FIND TO DO IS CREATE STUPID, INSANE DATING DRAMA BECAUSE YOU'RE DOING IT AGAIN NO I DON'T FUCKING WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. She told me she has a crush on another client and just found out it's reciprocated. I am like, did you seriously learn nothing at all from the last time?

You're talking about constructing a Memory Palace, right? http://www.ted.com/talks/joshua_foer_feats_of_memory_anyone_can_do.html

The problem I have with it is that I am extremely, extremely visual, and constructing an imaginary visual palace competes with the visual of the thing I'm trying to remember, which is particularly counterproductive when it's necessary to see it in the context of its natural environment. So in a sense, I am still constructing a "memory palace", but the palace is the world and the rooms are habitat.
