Is there anything funnier than white people practicing voodoo?

Yes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byh5k-m2SqI

Yes, there is.

It kind of lacks that "forced to practice their native religion in secret due to being held captive by white oppressors - secret native religion then co-opted by descendants of white oppressors" quality, though.

"White guy appropriates West Indies method of expressing anguish."

It reminds me of white Rastafarians. Talk about missing the punchline completely.

MY FELLOW WHITE PEOPLES:

Bob Marley wasn't talking to us.  We're allowed to listen, but he wasn't speaking directly to us.  So lose the dreads.  Thank you.

Brah my Grandmother was a Jamaican princess!

Oh my god. As a person who had a Carolina Cherokee grandmother, that phrase makes me cringe so hard.

THEY'RE ALWAYS PRINCESSES'S EVERY GOD DAMN TIME! Why is it so hard to admit that grandpa had some brown sugar, and never came back.

This morning in a burst of collaborative genius generated by the comment "What the hell kind of creep makes a fan page for themselves?", this was born: hxxps://www.facebook.com/TheGoodReverendRoger

I had this idea 3 days ago about making it, and dumping his rants on their, but then I figured he might not want his stuff on there.
BUT WE MUST SPREAD THE WORD OF ROGER!

I'm also close enough to BHCC to walk there in 20 minutes, and I have no intention of moving until I do transfer, at which point, I'll revisit the idea. The original thought is that Villager and I would figure something out and live near UMass (she's not far from there right now), but she's also applying for historically relevant jobs as far north as Salem and as far south as Plymouth, at which point, one of us would be inconvenienced commute-wise if we lived together.

Oh, and on that front, she's not opposed to having kids, she just thinks that I won't be done being schooled in time for it to be biologically feasible.

Hmmm... not even done with your undergrad? I mean, a graduate stipend won't be a lot, but people do it.

I think she's being overly cautious.

If all goes according to timetable, I will get my BS in May 2017, which puts it shortly before my 36th birthday and shortly after her 33rd.

Mom was... hmm... after some quick math, mom was 37 when Twidsister was born (22 when I was born).

I might mention that, since thus far, she's doing pretty good.

Your welcome.

I heard about him through my step-father.

Then I heard he was coming to town. So I took him to see him live.

And we met LMNO and Mrs. LMNO whilst waiting in line.

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

So I need to refresh on the last year of chemistry before taking the ACS exam this evening, so I started watching Crash Course Chemistry. So like three hours in, it finally dawns on me that the ones I'm watching are not covering the shit I need to know.  :lulz:
