lemmie clandestinely post this for something i posted in literate chaotic.

Apophis, (DisCaballah Poetry)

this is what todays sermonized rant will consist of.

[prescript note: this isn't defencism or explaination, i just didn't have any other ideas i wanted to elaborate on, so i decided to analyse this for the masses; personal expos?©. hence the posting of which here and not in that forum>thread... danke]

the body of said poem is as such:

. . .dynamic, ever changing,
discordant re-arranging-
. . .sweet syllables of sour,
in the garden's golden hour-

. . .ripened apples carven,
a core of worms, beholden-
. . .for the center, ever sweeter,
outside, sour gets d'metre-

. . .and a show without a script,
is the book that's being writ-
. . .all the characters at play,
allude the metaphor's display-

. . .for worms, we are; and wiggle,
to crawl our way and giggle-
. . .after the coffin, when we die,
we all float on as butterflies

now, the first thing about this all that i noticed was that though i wrote in
title itself "dis CABALLAH poetry" i thought perhaps it would be recieved in
a more caballah (kaballah, qabala, etc) fashion. unfortunatly, it was not.

this affords me the oppertunity to meditate it, though, and reveal myself.

let us start with the Title: Apophis.

Apophis, aka Apep, is an "Evil" god, refered to by some texts as
The [a?] Destroyer. the basics of the mythos are here:
http://www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/apep.htm

also, apophis is part of an alledged "Satanic Trinity" that someone (forget
who, do i) conceived. Note that Apophis is personified as a Serpent,
symbolically associated with The Worm.

this in an of itself have alchemical itonations in it, the Worm represented
as ouroborus, eating his tail.

Ouroborus has many symbolic meanings, hence the use of such a symbol.
symbols carry more information than words tend to, not to mention have
an ability to convey things slightly to greatly beyond the scope of language.
in a symbol, also, can be harmonious ambiguity; anulling opposites and
impossibilities manifest.

Ouroborus (apophis), is alleged to have been the serpent in the garden
EDEN.

[numerology is but a form of meditation. this is a secret]
using the Egyptian Cypher that i've grown a fancy for:
http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5577

APOPHIS= 1+12+11+8+9+8 = 49 [4+9=13; 1+3=4] (Male Set)

" "         = 13+3+2+3+6+5+6 = 38 [3+8=11; 1+1=2] (Female Set)

this in and of itself is a lot. Apophis, typically is associated with the Male
Aspect of genderization, ergo, the male set applies for straightforward
interpretation. 49 is listed in Sepher Sephiroth as :

Strength; Intelligence of Venus; Birth or Nativity; the Qliphoth of
Geburah...

[qliphoth represents a reversed sephirah; the 'demon' aspect of the
qabala]

the serpent is wisdom, classically. but the wisdom he offers gives
strength (WISDOM=4+9+8+4+10+13=48; ...48, 49... WISDOM brings Strength)

the demonization of Geburah (it's Qliphoth) is its aspects taken to
extremes, i.e. Strength (Geburah, assoc. with Mars) when corrupted or
abused equates with Fury or Averice. ergo (just from these two things)
we already have a very sound intro for the poetic endevor:

Apophis offers you his WISDOM that you should have Strength, with the
warning that Strength can be taken to far.

He comes as the destroyer to those who would accept his gift, but
neglect his warning, for be keeps his own balance. (if you don't pay
attention, it doesn't matter how strong you are, something's gonna bite
you on the ass...)

but Serpents also represent hermaphrodite androgeny. (borrowing from
Campbell) the serpent is phallic in nature, and so associated with the
Male aspect, but the open mouth of a serpent is visually strikingly
similar to a Vagina (image google Snake Mouth if you doubt).

the male aspect of 49 also implies "Intelligence of Venus" , or the aspects
pf this Male Number (mars oriented) also correspond to the female aspects:

38 in Sepher Sephiroth is:
To Violate; The Palate; Innocent; The Night Demon of Dec. 2nd (AVAL -
Aleph Vau Aleph Lamed)

{mixes a  Marijuana MilkShake}

49 is also Birth, 38 can be interpreted as Innocence; the Qliphoth is the
Violater to that which will Violate (A FRIEND to those who know, a
FIEND to those who R misplaced)

moving right along to the imagery, i will divide this post like an ameoba:

The Good Reverend Roger

" It's just that Depeche Mode were a bunch of optimistic loveburgers."
- TGRR, shaming himself forever, 7/8/2017

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."
- TGRR, raising the bar at work.

Iron Sulfide

damn it all, i forgot to log in after all that.
ah well, 'twas me...

continuing:

there is specific imagery in this poem that, if taken at face value, seems
sophomoric or uninspired...

. . .dynamic, ever changing,
discordant re-arranging-
. . .sweet syllables of sour,
in the garden's golden hour-

for example, the above opening lines.  without the knowledge provided
in the title being examined, this is pretty mundane and borish. but
provided the information given up to this point, we can divine certain
meanings in the lines.  [note also: in standard English Grammar, an
elipsis [ '. . .'] is indicative of "omitted text"; a similar meaning can be
implied by a dash [ '-' ] as a line break in Poetry Grammar.]

we can see that, possibly, this 'dynamic...discordant re-arranging' is a
precursor to, and related [via definition] to the next couplet. the "Golden
Hour" of this "Garden" gives Sweetness (Sweet is an Elemental, Remember)
to Sour Syllables. reference to alchemy [see: transmutation, See also:
Discordian Elements].

this Dynamic State [oxymoron] is but change. Control is an illusion, but
guidance...ah, guidance is possible. Change CANNOT be controlled, but it
CAN be guided. syllables are singular sounds in that they involve (necessary)
Vowel and (optional) Consonant groups. a particular sound vibrates with
a specific pattern (it's wave 'shape' is different than another particular sound);
this is what allows us to discriminate sound. (a plank of wood
slapping against cement sounds noticably different than a hi-hat tuned to
percuss the same frequency, for example)

some sound/frequency combinations are noted as having particular
"sour" resonnance (similar to a minor 2nd in Music Theory) others are
notibly bitter, or Sweet (sweet, say, is a Perfect 5th in music Theory).

these items also taken into account, one might infer that an incantation is
actually a specific sound/frequency pattern used to a certain means. if the
sounds don't match the frequency though (or vice versa), they will be
sour, if they match: Sweet.

further from this:

. . .and a show without a script,
is the book that's being writ-
. . .all the characters at play,
allude the metaphor's display-

what could this mean? ". . .allude the metaphor's display..." hmm...
that couldn't be a hint? could it?

maybe...no, that's crazy. of course it's crazy! but, just maybe...

maybe a 'show without a script' is a metaphor for life. maybe ... maybe,
it's somehow analogous to a 'book that's being writ' . nah, i'm just
hallucinating that (okay, so some playful retorts to mockery are here...
whatever. take offense, take note, take what you will from this...all)

i may editorialize on this further at a later time.

but kep in mind if you will, that EVERY LITTLE DETAIL is important.
or not.
