That I can't. He's too good at licking himself.

Yeah. Sometimes he is too optimistic that way.

Quote from: bob-oBisley!?? yea, it's a good gun, but a fucking single action?!?! get a GP-100! and speedloaders!

now, uh, did i say that i hate your guts? hmm. maybe just because you kinda turned into an ass a while ago.

i care because
1) i've never heard you mention them before
2) uhh... there used to be a #2... but i forgot

1.  Single action is in every way superior to double action or automatics, if you know what you're doing.

2.  Um, yeah, you did.  You also made a point of saying some rather nasty shit that made things worse, rather than better.

3.  Okay.

1: mind explaining how? reliablility is good, but so is a good auto. you can fan it with your palm, but you can also do so with your DA revo, and those reload a LOT faster than eject 1 shell at a time, and then load one at a time...

2: holy shit, i did? man, i'd think i'd remember somthing like that... sorry if i fucked things up, but you probably were in that asshole-roger stage.

3:ok.

1.  Speed on the draw.  The hammer is already back when you level the pistol, which doubles your total speed.  No jamming, no double-feeding, plus you have to learn to aim your shots, due to reload time.  I always suggest new shooters start with the single action, for that last reason.

2.  I've ALWAYS been in that stage.

well, revolvers CAN jam, many times due to carbon buildup on the cyl. face. but unless you're plugging 100-200 rounds withough cleaning, that probably won't happen.

on a 1911, the hammer is cocked and locked. you say to practice to aim, i agree with that, but when practicing that, make it a muscle reflex to snap the safety off, instead of cock the hammer.

with a DA (auto or revo), just pull the trigger. a SD-trigger-weight on a DA is maybe 8 pounds, and it's not that much, especially with adrenaline running through your system.

ok, so you aim your shots. you get every BG dead with 1 to the CNS (headshot, but you probably know what that meant). but guess what? there's 7 BG's, not 6. now what? even with a relatively low-cap 1911, the mag cap is 8 (7 in mag, 1 in tube). need a reload? push the handy button near your thumb, and pop in a new one that is convienently in your pocket/holster whatever. you can also carry 10-rounder singlestack reloads if you so desire.

i've heard Makarov's ($150 pistols, bulgarian/russian manufacture) have gone to 1000 rounds with no cleaning and no jams. even put it in dirt, mud, etc. many good 1911's/Sigs/Glocks/etc with the same price as a Bisley (~$600-800, with the exception of a Glock) are extremely reliable, and with good parts and replacement of high wear parts every so often (ejector, extractor, firing pin, etc) it'll run without a hiccup.

Isnt the Marakov the one with the nickname of the "disco pistol" because thats the only way you can be close enough to use it effectively?  Or is that another gun with a smiliar name?

You die.  In fact, if there are more than 3 bgs, or more than 3 armed bgs, you're dead, no matter what you are armed with.

Unless your name happens to be Audie Murphy, that is.

well, i'm assuming you're not just standing there and shooting, but rather hiding and moving.

so- you're mentality is if you need more than six rounds, you might as well shoot yourself?

haha...

i'm NOT saying a door or 2 layers of sheetrock will protect you from a bullet (www.box-o-truth.com), but, the BG dosn't know where to shoot, dwindiling his ammo reserves.

rather, you use it as COVER, NOT PROTECTION. pop off a round or two, duck behind a pool table and run, whilist crouching, to the next pool table. pop up and let off another few rounds. etcetera etcetera...
