we see some bad shit in the future

we can talk about it
and we generally see what the factors involved are / will be

but
it isnt imminent

and therefore we suffer from a collective lull of
'something may happen between now and then'
'ill be ready for it when it comes'
'i wouldnt know what to do or where to start'

although it may seem uncomfortable for some
(me included)
this is okay

it would be wrong to expect anything else

we have nothing to compare the current situation to

and so we will wait
until we are almost physically dead
and/or gripped by poverty
and/or abandon(become abandoned by) everybody we know
to 'do something'

and it probably wont be too late
but
it will hurt a lot

a lot of pain
and mental anguish between now and 'then'

even if the 'truth' were to present itself right now
or
the 'right' course of action would make itself known

very few people would accept it because it would look like shit

i apologize for using 'we'
but
i dont know how else to refer to myself and all the other people

When you mean "We" in this light, I suggest you keep myself out of it.

Some of us are doing things.

FYI.

Bad things are already happening.  I tend to have a low view of kidnap and torture, for example...

I think you want some sort of immediately recognizable event to sweep you off your feet and change the world?  It sounds to me like you want a product more than a revolution.  It sounds to me like your asking for a commodity known as "change" that you won't get.

Only after revolutions occur, are studied, and become part of the past can we even begin to understand what happened.   You'll have to observe more closely to see this "change" you want like a new tv.  And you'll only know after it happened.

The product of a premeditated/random series of events hardly ever matches the predictions/perceptions of what they will be like, when it presents itself.

no

i think i am just restless and find fleeting relief in making sweeping generalizations in hopes that one of them actually rings true

plus
i got an impending doom fetish

respect to the irreverend
i dont doubt your efforts

i am impatient
i admit it

I suggest you read Night Watch by Terry Pratchett at some point.  The ultimate futility of revolution is laid bare in that very well done story.

Besides, all your troubles will go away once Salazor is leader!

It also puts a dampener on progress and the belief in the goodwill of humans in general.

That's a joke.

Evolution doesn't always improve things.

We were told that the man of the future would have an atropied body, and a huge head.

Well, the future is here, and man has a huge gut, a pencil neck, and a very low forehead.
