This month has become bizarrely good for me.

Yay!

I'm enjoying hitting random pages in this thread, both to see how you've refined/evolved your style over time, and also because there is something worth reading on each one.

Also, that reworking of the Dr Who theme is so much fun!

same - sometimes i think about posting, but then i look at recent posts and it feels like there's nothing of value i can add to the conversation, and so i just close the page because i don't want to shit on a graveyard of more interesting content

This is wrong.  Graveyards are for shitting, go nuts.

Great, now we're loitering in a graveyard of consensual shitting. And how is this any better? :argh!:

I quickly regretted that phrasing though. It was an unsuccessful marriage of two similar but distinct concepts:
  • respect for the collaborative creative content that came before
  • the recent posts immediately before my post rekindled that same energy, and my repeated response was like: "holy shit, i can't top that - why try?"

go nuts.

Been there. Would not recommend.

care reacts seem to exist for when you don't "love" that someone is going through something, but you don't care enough/are unable to support beyond acknowledgement. i suppose it fills the "thoughts and prayers" gap for those who would never say those words directly?

i'm used to weird looks whenever i'm just walking down the street wearing whatever i want, but that day i was fully winterised - feeling warm, protected and anonymous - as soon as i put my glasses on, i forget they are there for the most part.

from my reading of Cosmic Trigger - RAW didn't exactly believe anything, and questioned whether 1) and 2) were possible also. i think there were enough synchronicities around that they were unable to shake the feeling that something was siriusly there, and so i feel it's most likely they kept digging until they found themselves entrenched.

3) is a more interesting theory.. but that would undercut their entire Starseed message surely? it's also a lot of work to put into an unfunny joke

4) they probably did have tax-funded people fucking with them. they attracted enough attention, and it can take only a single dropped or spoofed signal sent between entities in space and time to near convince people of anything

suck it, squares - the future of pixels is hexagonal: https://spontificus.github.io/

finally got a working demo out of my crayon scribbles!

EDIT - maybe avoid that above link if using an older mobile device - webgl is hungry and when i tested it on my phone, it crashed the browser twice before my phone just turned itself off  :lulz:

while i have next to no interest in exploring anarchist belief systems online or otherwise, i was willing to participate initially in what seemed like an elaborate troll only because:

chefs kiss to whomever reconstructed this late 90s era webündesgin
oh nostalgia endorphine bliss

but the background reading was making my brain feel uncomfortable.. twisting it into weird little self-reinforcing loops.. so yeah, that identifies it to me as something i should avoid for the purposes of maintaining my own mental health utopia

so proud of my eldest kid right now

went over yesterday to meet my ex-wifes-most-recent-ex and now primary caregiver to figure out how we're going to figure out co-parenting, scheduling, etc. worked a lot of things out now we're finally talking - yay, open and honest communication! my son pops into the room, he's writing some fiction and asks us for femme character names. he's giving us both turns to come up with one, but none of them suit. he's not holding back either about how much our suggestions suck - and he's not wrong

just as i'm thinking about how all our name suggestions are aging us - my new co-parent suggests "Ethyl" - so my son calls us out and makes me snort:
"argh, you are terrible at coming up with names - is that why you're both divorced?"

oh, never lose that sense of humour kid!

this sounds like an interesting space to play in - do you have anything more written up?
