Stop being a wanker.
You're an Aussie. Fucking show some brains or GTFO.
It's hard to get banned from here, but if you spam our boards, we'll have no choice but to.
Have some fucking respect, and maybe we'll show the same.
IF you can't show that you're an intelligent human being, GTFO out of our religion and GTFO out of my country, we don't need wankers.
And let me promise you, if you don't cut this shit out, we'll trace your IP and figure out where you live, and then you'll be fucked.
Yes, there are Aussies here.
Yes, they'll fuck you if you don't start acting like a human being instead of a fucking monkey.
Ok not really, none of us give enough of a fuck.
And what you're doing just makes me sad.
I want to see more fellow Aussie discordians around, but I don't want them being complete and utter fuckwits.
Maybe he was bitten with some kind of "act like a retarded child" venom. Your country is known for exotic and terrible venoms.
Maybe it's cuz of the fool moon.
YEah, you hear that?
I'll um, smack your bitch ass, um, face um. You bitch ass, ass. Provided someone lends me the fuel money.
holyshit
I was just making this same thread, decided against it, and saw this. :p
Yeah so, Frankie, my boy, shut up.
Banned him.
I think that might be the first time I banned someone heeheee, but he was clearly violating the rules, no spamming.
He introduced himself, egos clashed, Eris opened her eye, BAM! DISCORD! POW! STRIFE!
Which is fine.
But no spamming.

Pretty pretty please unban him???
Hm? Why, do you know him?
I mean I agree he seemed okay-ish, salvageable, at first. Right up until when he said "fuck you I'm converting to timecubism" and proceeding to spam the board with copypasta from the timecube.com homepage.
I see absolutely no reason to rescind the ban at all. The next time he gets all butthurt he'll probably just start spamming again, and we can cut all that bullshit out right now by just not bothering to let him back on. Besides, it was very obvious by this post (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=25692.msg918018#msg918018) the direction in which things were going and, well, we already have a shadowy nemesis waiting in the shadows for the right moment to crush us, and we don't want another.
I say lift the ban, just once, as a fellow Aussie, I think he needs to be given a chance to show he's an intelligent person.
I have a feeling he is, and he's just got a bit of culture shock coming onto these forums, and maybe now that we've slapped him around a bit, he'll come to his senses.
I'm going to vouch for him, for now, but if he fucks up again, I won't miss him.

He's already here. Just a quick sex-change. It's a simple procedure these days.
Yeah, that's kinda what I figured.
You can come out of hiding "sally" if this really is the case.
Just *don't* fucking spam the forums, and we'll be sweet (mostly).

Yep, I see it pretty much the same way. And we really don't have that many rules that get you banned. Spamming happens to be one of them, though. Simple butthurt n00bage isn't, so he should have stuck to that and he could have gotten all the chances he wanted.

well first off, does anyone know this guy?
if not then, why vouch for him just based on his stated nationality, how do you know he's not really just an asshole.
I understand where you're coming from though, Dutch Discordians are pretty rare as well, and when they show up I really have the inclination to stand up for them.
Except not when they spam the board. And when he did that he knew he was going to get banned. It's not like he could be "Oh I didn't KNOW that it wasn't allowed to puke copypasta all over your threads" because most forums are perfectly fine with people doing that after their first 20 posts that were nothing but random poop and hissy fit.
What's the point of having rules of we're going to selectively apply them?
Should we change it to "Spamming will get you banned unless you're Australian" ?
Yeah, fuck it, I tried to vouch for this guy and he decided to keep being a moron.
Fuck him and his stupidity. We don't have room for him in discordia.
He will keep coming back. More pissed off each time. Writing spam macros as we sleep.
And if he does, see my second post in this thread.
Except without the last line.
... once he's done closing all those zillions of windows that just popped up, that is.

You know, that does not get funnier the more you repeat it.
I have to admit, it kinda made me giggle at first, but now it's just really stupid.
I'm sorry, I will stop now. It just makes me sad to see so many of these new people like myself pushed and prodded like cattle until they snap, then raped of their desire to belong and voice their individuality. How many of these people would have brought a new persepective to our lives? Become a great friend of ours? Made us laugh? Maybe none, but it's worth consideration.

A lot of noobs come in and are treated just fine. I was treated fine.
Also, repeating jokes too often or too soon does kinda kill them. Not a noob thing, just a how it works anyway thing.
Don't get us wrong, we love new people, as long as they're not complete fuckwads.
We don't prod anyone, they do it to themselves by being jackass's.
Act like a jackass, get treated like a jackass. It's quite simple really.

Hang around a littlebit, I understand how you feel, but after a while you will start to notice a very very distinct pattern appearing. Some people are just so predictable, it's better to just cut it short.

Well, either way, you reposted variant of the same line from Illuminatus 3 separate times. Not saying is necessarily a bad thing, but you know.
Plus this guy got hostile quick and intentionally broke the rules in such a way that he knew he would get banned.

Wait.
Some guy comes in, gets into a little strife, SPAMS the fuck out of the place (breaking one of the very few rules here), gets banned...
...is he thus
raped of his desire to belong here?
Is that what you're saying?

I remember that it was pretty unpleasant, getting a heaped serving of negativity early on in conversations here. That said, I'm old enough to cop it, and have ended up enjoying this place, so i do appreciate what you mean; sometimes I see a debate on nothing escalate so fast that I really do feel for the 'new folk' who want to join in, and sometime I think, hey, that's how i'd have reacted maybe five years ago. It's a shame that there's not a carrot on the other side of that stick.
That said, the spam bugged me.
Spamming ruins it for everyone (hence why it is a favoured HIMEOBS tactic), and I feel exactly 0% regret at shitcanning someone who is willing to fuck it up for everyone else, because a few people hurt his precious feelings.

Well, we used to have the "50 post suggestion", to keep off people's backs until they had 50 posts to lose their pineal. But as it says, it's just a suggestion. And recently n00bs are coming so fast people might not have the patience to deal with the more "difficult" ones.
Also the 50 posts barrier is harder to notice since I garbled the postcount eh :) Which is actually why I would want to suggest to change the <50 posts user title from "Known" to something more obvious, such as "n00b" or "Possibly Pineal", what do people think?

I like the possibly pineal thing.
Did all of this happen last night, while I was asleep? Sounds like the best action was taken.
Early this morning, European time. Not sure when Trip banned, but I'm guessing just minutes before I logged on, and it sort of went on until 10am or so.

Huh. Maybe that's why I woke up in pain around 330 am, and only got back to sleep with great trouble. :lulz:
Yeah I woke up to the spammage, and think I decided to ban around something like 8:30am (that's 2:30am in NY), he wasn't online then.
He came back as "salty" and, well, read the Introductions thread.
I'm newish, and I've managed too work out that below 50 = known pretty quickly. So I suspect it's obvious.

Poor fellow never had a chance. I might stick around, just to be over-the-top nice to anyone that is new. Tell them how great they are. Beg them to stay. Compliment them on the size of their IQ. Pinch their butt. Give THEM all the attention. I wanna be the Wal-Mart greeter of PD.com.

I know this was just metaphorical, but I think, as a method of moderation, it's really got legs. Using an incremental scale of zap, it could be the most effective primer for getting rid of the chaff early on., and getting only the n00bs who are serious. Or at least, the ones that like being anally raeped by a big, lubed up Cattle prod. I don't even mind say, six hours a week administering the prescribed magnitude of re-inforcement to any transgressors on this side of the pond.
