What are you going to wear this halloween?
I'm going to be a juggalo, walk around with a huge magnet, rant against scientists and ask people how fucking magnets work. I'm going to pay a visit to some churches and ask them about how magnets work, telling them I don't want to talk to scientists.
Probably a coat. Maybe some gloves. Depends on how cold it is.

I'm tickled that I went out and bought fabric for the costume group that we absolutely HAD to do that no one is apparently doing anymore.
I bought a blank white masquerade mask... I'm going to do something with it. There may or may not be pics.

Last I heard it was the General and Enzo doing Mario / Luigi, and various associated princesses. Sucks if that's off entirely.
Apparently a sheep- there might be pictures (though I doubt it)

Yea, it really something that shouldn't be consumed by anyone, ever. I'm all for people doing stupid shit to themselves, but it shouldn't be sold in regular convenience stores/gas stations alongside all the other energy drinks. Was reading a few articles about it yesterday. Among other things - it's the equivelant of 6 light beers, 2 cups of coffee and 660 calories. Makes me gag a little, thinking about it.
Halloween should be fun!

I love living in a repressed drug culture. Shit like that would never exist in a sane society.

I will probably be a responsible at-home adult who gives out candy for Halloween.
By which I mean that is my costume.

The best 'costume' I saw as the responsible at-home adult, with a chainsaw as he opened the door. I have never seen kids run so quickly.

Oh, well, looking back, looks like that was a Huffington Post article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/27/four-loko-by-the-numbers_n_774760.html
I've heard other comparisons to one cup of coffee & 4 beers, etc.
It's still 24 oz, 12% ABV, The name "Four' is derived from its four main ingredients, caffeine, taurine, guarana, and alcohol. Depending on your tolerance dumping horrible shit in your body, drinking 2 or more (or, really, more than one), will generally lead you to the point of being blackout drunk where you should've passed out a long time ago, but your body's still running around, generally acting like a berserk drunken asshole. The next morning usually results in a hideous hangover combined with the feeling of coming off a bunch of horrible drugs.
But yea, pretty awful
Our friend always has a themed party and this year's theme is food so we're going as Sweeny Todd and Mrs. Lovett complete with fresh meat pies!
I'm just going to wear something pretty. :( Boring.
I didn't feel like going crazy running around this year, so I'm just hauling last year's box up from the basement.
Alex DeLarge again it is.
It turns out that I'm going to be a student working on midterms for Halloween.

No he should wear Your anus, and rotate on his side!
Also, it appears my wife is no longer a Ray of Sunshine. Apparently she had ordered this Devil Horn/red cape number which she is wearing to work. Along with a well-fitted black dress, if you take my meaning.
Man, I wish I was working with her today.

Everyone has changed their minds...this is because I spent money on fabric.
No biggie. I can still do the Toadstool, or figure out something that involves a mustache. GS is now going as Magnum PI, and Enzo and his wife are Mario and Luigi respectively.
I don't even know if I'll have enough time to find an epic 'stache to do ANYTHING.
The only other idea I had was to dress up as a Pink Hat, it's the scariest thing I can thing of. I just don't really want to spend the money on a goddawful Pink Boston hat and a sparkly pink Patriots jersey for the sake of a funny.
Duston is going to be Edward, Joy is going to be Victoria and JW hasn't decided between Kai's cereal killer thing or a werewolf. If he goes as a werewolf, I'm making me a TEAM EDWARD/TEAM JACOB t-shirt....

I dunno...I'll see if I can get to Walmart today to find cheap Pink Hat stuff. Red Sox stuff should be pretty cheap right now if it's still out. If not, Pats stuff works just as well. Either way, I need to find a white blouse.

It's a sports thing. But imagine the most obnoxious and fake women you can think of, wearing all pink sparkly shit that pertains to their particular bandwagon team of choice, flailing wildly at games with a Bud Light in one acrylic-nailed hand and a Blackberry in the other, while doing nothing but comment on certain player's butts. They're more prevalent in Boston than anywhere else, apparently, and Boston -anything- fans HATE them. And since I hate Boston, why not be something doubly hated for Halloween?
It was a Pink Hat that tried to start a fight with me at a Pats game in 2005, that stopped as soon as I grabbed her boyfriend by the brim of his hat and smashed his head into the back of my seat.

Also, nice costume Fred!
For me, most holidays are just like any other days except with a particular color combination attached to them. Since I'm terribly boring I don't do much for Halloween. I don't drink, or dress up, and I'm not fond of candy. But I think scary and spooky things are entertaining, though finding a good horror movie these days is a near-impossible task.
An intelligent lady in my art history class said that Halloween's interesting because it's about being someone else. I agree, although I don't know if I'd be very good at being someone other than myself for more than a day.

Also amazing you can get away with dressing up as Hitler, apparently. Here it'd be in incredibly bad taste, you'd have a good chance of being denied entrance to clubs or bars, and possibly even get your ass kicked. And if you'd get in character, I'm not entirely sure if shouting "sieg heil" with your hand straight forward in the air could even get you arrested. Touchy subject still, after 65 years? You betcha! ;-)

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to put on, and actually didn't take me that long. I ended up wrapping it entirely around my arm, but it was so cold out no one saw.
Light year at my friend's house. Only 50 kids or so, thanks to the fucking Patriots game and the cold. Nobody was taking their kids out trick-or-treating. It has dropped to the 30s. Welcome, November. :x
We had a pretty small turnout this year as well. I think it was a bit chilly for the kiddos last night. I know LWHN and I hit the neighborhood quickly and efficiently. She managed to take away a pretty good haul, plus we still have all of the leftovers. And I work at a health promotion agency so I can't bring in a big ass bowl of leftover candy. I suppose that stuff will keep til next year.
