The hell is an "Abortion mill"?

It's a place where they force young White women to have abortions.  Like in China.

Texas.  It's like Oklahoma, except without the class and high tone you'd expect there.

All I know about Oklahoma is it's made of red and they think "sooner" is a noun.

Don't get Roger started on our nature. He says we waste it.

We don't waste it, everyone knows the Blackstone River was the largest toilet from Worcester to Providence for a couple of centuries before they started to find fish with extra eyes and Volkswagen Beetles under the silt that were dumped there during the Blizzard of 78.

I live in Oklahoma. I'm not native to it though. I think one of the main reasons oklahoma stays relatively sane is because of how much everyone here hates Texas.

You do.  You pave over it, you let fresh water go into the ocean, and you have little flying vampires that attack you at night.

I don't think any state west of the Mississippi and east of the Rockies can be called "sane."

"Abortion mills"... shitty, understaffed and sub-par clinics where mostly-poor people go to obtain abortions... do exist. Their existence is ensured by the increasing stigma and difficulty of offering abortions in a clean safe clinic environment; in other words, it is restrictive regulations and fear that perpetuate them in the first place.

This is true...But in the mind of the po'bucker, at least the Arizona variety, they are dens of iniquity that exist to lure pretty young blondes in so they can murder babies because libruls muhaha.  Texas, IIRC, thinks along the same lines.  At least they did when I lived there.

The hell is an "Abortion mill"?

The abortion mill was a little-discussed feature of the Industrial Revolution.  Designed to keep "workers" at their harvesting cublices in the scalp and hand collections/processing facilities (and NOT home being preggers), it was to the abortionist what the cotton gin was to the farmer.  Imagine a water wheel adorned with alternating wire coathangers and toilet plungers and you've pretty much got the idea.  Use was not mandatory but distributed freely for a nominal fee, much like modern forms of population control (the iphone, xbox, McDonalds food, etc)

The asymetrical north/south distribution of abortion mills was a factor in the inception of the Civil War.

Abortion mills in the Blackstone Valley corridor led to the popularity of it's use as a dumping ground fro other stuff.  Trust me, after a few days you PREFFER to see cow heads wash by.
