Who will think of the children?!
Me, damnit. I don't usually buy Girl Scout Cookies, but when I do, I fill my fucking freezer with thin mints and flip teabaggers the bird.

READ THE COMMENTS. JUST...READ THEM. I LOVE THIS CENTURY!
Damnit I'm torn. I don't like their practice of deciding how many cookies the troop gets and doesn't allow them to ship any back. The seriously over estimate in my area every time. Troops end up bankrupt over the damn cookies.
But I hate teatards.
Con: What USU said. And they;re bad for you and they make you fat.
Pro: TEATARDS HATE THEM AND THOSE COOKIES ARE FUCKING ORGASMIC
Guess what I'm doing if I catch somebody selling them.
These people are so, so stupid.
Wait, so they are boycotting Girl Scout cookies because Girl Scouts of America mentioned women who were prominent in politics this year?
Or because they "honored" the Planned Parenthood founder (although I am not sure what that means exactly)?
Do they even know why they're boycotting Girl Scout Cookies?

From what I gather, it's because the Girl Scouts are pro-LGBT (They allow transgender to join), pro-choice, and pro-sexual education for women. In other words, they are full of evil and hate Jesus.
Just bought some girl scout cookies today! What's funny is I never bought them until conservative idiots whined about GSUSA and I learned how legitimately awesome the organization is (to a point).
This also seems like a good place to post some of my favorite conservative GS-related images:

Amerca.
I need some of those preggo primers.
The thought occurs that if one girl scout troop actually got those boxes printed up with the above names they would:
1- Sell so many cookies it wouldn't even be funny. People would buy them worldwide after it went viral. Ideal time to bandwagon on Sochi.
2- Give their opponents something to actually rant about which would probably end badly for them. These kind of people can't go in front of a camera for more than 10 minutes without dragging another prejudice in so, you know, media gold in waiting.
3 - There's probably more but those two are enough, surely? Someone get on it.
I would buy the fuck out of those cookies with names like that.
It would be funny, but it's not really appropriate for an organization for children, nor in keeping with their mission, so it will never happen.
Nigeled.
I spent 20 minutes trying to think of subversive names that would fly.
I got nothing.

QuoteThe left is having overwhelming success in corrupting this country. It's not arguable. It isn't denial. They are corrupting the culture, it seems, at will. For example, a Breitbart story: "Girl Scouts Hire Lesbian as Chief 'Girl Experience Officer' -- As millions of moms consider digging into pocketbooks for Girl Scout cookies this year, they may be interested to know about the hiring of Krista Kokjohn-Poehler in the Girl Scouts executive office in New York City.
"Kokjohn-Poehler is an out lesbian married to a woman named Ashley Kokjohn," and she's the girl experience officer for the Girl Scouts now. So, I mean, they're just... But at the same time, there's an all-out jihad, I think, being conducted on the culture. It's undeniable.
Rush Limbaugh is referring to a Breitbart story posted two days ago and since echoed hysterically by myriad right wing blogs.
More batshit crazy than you can shake a stick at. Seriously, this is well into full blown idiot territory now. I'm thinking my earlier idea might just fly if they keep this shit up.
Good thing the Boy Scouts still hate the gays.

Obviously, hiring a lesbian is exactly the same thing as declaring war on Christianity and Family Values.

Next thing you know, we'll let Gay people TEACH or something. JUST LIKE THEY WERE REAL PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL BLOOD IN THEIR VEINS LIKE YOU AND ME.
YOU'RE NOT THINKING OF THE CHILDREN ENOUGH!
But these folks are. I especially like the oath-taking salute.

Loving those Christian values! :lulz:
a friend from high school who converted to born-again after a heroin addiction messaged me after I posted that link to the Trail Life article, and he called me all sorts of amazing names and told me that he was sick of me "hating" Christians and their precious values, and I wasn't thinking of the children and shit. Oh, and that he was going to unfollow my posts because I hurt him all the time.
My response, "Look, I'm really glad that Christ was able to cure you of your addiction, but it's clear to me now that so could have the Church of Scientology."
Blocked.

This kid signed my high school yearbook telling me that Dogma was the greatest movie ever because it told us everything we needed to know about organized religion in 2 hours.

He blocked me after the Scieno comment, but I'll see what I can remind him. Hell, I can scan the fucking letter he wrote me in which he wrote it. But heroin burned up his fucking brain good. He used to be really smart and a blast to hang out with. We did a lot of writing together in our comp classes and he helped me start my first novel attempt. It ripped me apart when I found out he decided to stick himself with a needle for whatever reason, and although I'm glad that he survived the ordeal and was able to kick the drug, I wish he didn't have to turn to religion to fix him. Like Roger said: codependency. He switched one addiction for another. At least if he was a Scientologist, he'd still believe in evolution, just with added thetans.
Damn.
I tend to have very little sympathy for people who feel the need to fill their lives with artificial happiness, be it drugs or religions.

I do. I have loads of sympathy for people like that. Anyone who actually doesn't is an ASSHOLE, and you don't seem like too much of an ASSHOLE. The reason I say this is that life's tough and the universe is a bad neighborhood at 3 AM. I'm for whatever gets you through the night, whether that's Baby Jesus or a bottle of bourbon.
Now, the moment someone insists that THEIR method of getting through the night is THE method, and I have to agree with that or at least not say anything that might cause them to even DOUBT it, however unintentionally, then all that sympathy vanishes in a puff of smoke and then the chewtoy and the screaming and the plugged up drains and the cleaning lady trying to get all the horror off the ceiling.
By accident. Naturally.

Anytime a chewtoy is involved it's usually an accident.
That makes a lot more sense put that way though, I DO have sympathy, just not for that kind of attitude.

True Believers in one thing are the quickest to convert to True Believers in something else.
I couldn't tell you how many strident Atheists I have known to convert to equally strident Born-Again Christians, and sometimes back again. Occasionally hitting a couple of other religious/philosophical sticks on the way.
True Believers are looking for something outside of them to give them a sense of rightness and importance. I am pretty sure that's why they ban so quickly when their dogmas are challenged or questioned.
He firmly believes that God made him an addict to lead him to Christ.
Granted, I was raised Roman Catholic, not Evangelist, but um...last I checked, that ain't God's style. But hell, to each their own sales pitch.
