Plato's Symposium has been banned from the curriculum because it addresses gender and sexuality. His theory of the Androgyne and the origin of human attraction (which includes an explanation for homosexuality) is evidently too woke.

Getting back to working on a book of poems. I hope to get it published. I just got hit with major medical expenses, so any extra income helps. Plus, I want to be paid to do something I love.

And by nasty habits, I mean self harm.
And, of course, there's a million voices that can tell you to reach out, and practically nothing to reach out to.
God, I'm tired of the hotlines being shilled as if they help. I'm tired of them all pretending to care. I'm tired of living in a society that punishes suffering with more suffering (and since I'm in Burgerland, debt). I'm so fucking tired.

I made this one thing one night to represent the feeling of mania except now my brain is telling me that I should destroy it before people mistake me for a 13 year old trying to be edgy

I feel guilty as an artist. Once told a friend I was disappointed that the only real way to make a living as an artist is digital nsfw commissions because I enjoyed/am better at fine art, but got told that fine art never existed and that it was all holier-than-though "religious lady" paintings.
I know it's true and I'm being narcissistic or classist or whatever, but it still hurt me for some reason.
I just want to make art without being complicit to the system that's actively hurting it.

No, I just hate that TikTok has the worst fucking algorithm and I hate the idea of every aspect of internet culture being forced to shed itself of individuality because everything must be advertiser friendly and presentable.

Got some advice recently that instead of trying to find "organic" friends, just use the internet and stuff to meet up with people with the same niche interests.
Is that really the only way you can fucking interact with people anymore? I'm really nervous about that thing, and I've been advised against trying to force interests into organic convos.
Or do I have to just reap what I sow and just not talk to people because I'm too weird for them?
