Our house cat has taken to shitting in our hallway. This isn't some metaphor, he really has. My roommate, desperately searching for a solution, decided it would be prudent to follow these instructions:

1. Isolate the cat in a small room
2. Relocate the liter box and water to that room
3. Keep the cat in this room without human contact, except to feed and water.
4. Upon the third day, release the cat.
5. If the problem continues, go back to step 1.

My thoughts immediately went to the US Justice system.

And now I, as the cat attacks my feet, wish I was shitting in the hallway.
