The conditions of in what orifice we're fucked, in what position, and with or without lube hot sauce, are up in the air.

In other words, a global revolution would only make it more interesting. Not change the outcome, as far as the loudest (and soundest) minds here are concerned.

Why do you think global revolution is likely? 

Also, why is protesters getting the beatdown and gassed "unspeakable"?  Sounds like every major protest in the last few years, over here at least.  Throw in some police agent provocateurs pretending to be anarchists and you've pretty much got the last decade of political protest summed up in a single sentence.

Global revolution is  (imo) not only likely but already has started. There are many countries around the world atm who are protesting/gathering/marching who are calling it 'occupy'. The 'occupy' is the common factor in all these protests. Also-Since the 'occupy' started in New York, (imo again) there have been more numbers in the usual protests that take place around the world. And I see these increasing as time goes on. And even the ones that are not protesting under the reason for solidarity or what not for 'the occupy movement' are out in more numbers as well. Europe is actually getting ready to march to Athens. The protesters are starting to unite.

When I said protesters being beaten and gassed, I did mean the ones all over the world. The states have not seen anything like what other countries' police forces are doing and have been doing for many years to these people. And it is unspeakable-because (imo) no human should be treated that way. Not when they are not being violent. You are right Cain, it has been going on for a while and it's not right.

So i guess what Im questioning is...If a global revolution is successful, what will the outcome be? Could it lead to a world order? Are we the protesters helping move forward this world order?

Concept one: "I am a smart person who makes rational choices that betters my life."

Concept two: "I willingly partake in smoking, which has been proven to shorten and diminish the quality of my life" (if you're not a smoker, substitute a comparable self-destructive behavior).


Try to think about both thoughts simultaneously, without justifying, blaming, or otherwise ducking out of it.

Tell them everything.  If you or your kids NEED to be taken away, particularly for the safety of said kids, then, for fuck's sake, let them.  If you're unscrewed in the gourd enough to be judged a danger, then why WOULDN'T you?

Why on Earth would you need to see a shrink about THAT?  If you WEREN'T thinking that the human race should be shot out of an airlock, THEN I'd worry.

But It's starting to affect me more and more every day. I see all the shit that I never wanted to be a part of- the fucked up, run around, be a fucking spoke in the wheel sort of shit that I always told myself I would never be a part of. It seems I was lying to myself. Because I am finding that in order to live in the society we live in, my values and beliefs are being compromised. And it's driving me fucking nuts.

Also-I want to get unplugged from the nets a while but I work here and more so-when i do go out and see how Really Fucked Up Humanity is I end up just wanting to hide. When In Fact I Should Be Standing Up And DOING Something About It. Bleh.

I guess that's why we have forums too though,eh-To Rant and Remind us of what we need to be doing.

Assuming you don't tell anybody that you think humans should be used as a food source (have you SEEN the price of beef, lately??), and that you're considering changing the name of your kids to "Veal" and "Porkchop..."

Take it slow, shrinks know it's a trust thing, and SHOULD take time for you to get comfortable, anyway.

Actually, I checked, and "Masquerading" is a long-time member of the board.

So, here you go:  It depends on the problem.  Most times, the doctor involved is forbidden to release any information to any outside agency.  In cases of severe mental illness, though, that can change, under new laws that govern firearm ownership, for example.

If you're depressed, see a regular doctor.  If your toaster is telling you to shoot your congressman, see your regular doctor and ask for a referral.

Also, smash the toaster.  Appliances have to know their place, and politics ain't it.

Depends on the kid. I wouldn't try to tell them the Whole Truth earlier than age 7 though. They kinda need that mental/emotional protection. You can dole it out slowly between ages 7 and 12-ish, and they will actually figure out most of it on their own.

And that makes sense. It does. But there are times when I want to scream and yell out how I see and feel things (even minute things, like what a shitty assignment you have, here is what I would do) and then the parent in me says-hey they are only kids...then I think, Am I just being overprotective?

This has really been a difficult thing to decide for me and so since (as nutty and chaotic as it may seem) I value the opinion of this board that I have encountered, I want to hear what your thoughts on this may be.
