FACT: Jacksonville and anywhere along the Suwanee River are NOT Florida. You're still in Georgia and Alabama, the song just lies to you.

:lulz:
We appear to be doomed by our DNA to repeat the same destructive behaviors our forebears have repeated for millenia. If anything our problem solving skills have actually diminished with the advent of technology & our ubiquitous modern conveniences. & yet despite our predisposition towards fear-driven hostility; towards what we anachronistically term primitive behavior another instinct is just as firmly encoded in our make-up. We are capable as our ancestors were of incredible breathtaking acts of kindness. Every hour of every day a man risks his life at a moments notice to save another. Forget for a moment the belligerent benevolent billionaires who grant the unfortunate a crumb of costfree cake. I speak of pure acts of selflessness. A Mother who rushes into the street to save a child from a speeding vehicle. A person who runs into a burning building to reach a family trapped on the upper story. Such actions, such moments, such unconscious selfless decisions, define what it is to be human

Wait...they give out scholarships for the PSAT? WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. They don't.

In Florida if you maintain a certain average GPA (I think a 3.1) you're automatically given a Florida Merit Scholarship, which can cover 75-100% of your tuition at any state school. If you maintain over a 3.5 into Senior Year, you automatically get the Bright Futures Scholarship, which is 100% cost of attendance at any state school, and then, if you're REALLY fucking awesome and graduate within the top 10% of your class, you're automatically provisionally admitted into any state school (you still have to apply and meet whatever additional requirements the schools have for specific majors...but you're pretty much in, and your app fees are waived.)

Now, they may have changed that since I went to school there, but their university system is/was/sometimes still rocks. It's just a pity that everyone is convinced that Floridians are inherently stupid thanks to Fark.com, and Sparky here doesn't exactly help bust the mold, if ya'll know what I'm saying.

Dude, Florida sounds pretty bitchin'.

That also includes the Eastern Time side of the Apalachicola east to 301 on 10. That river is the Chattahoochee by any other name, I ain't fucking stupid. After that, you're in Tallahassee and clear of most bullshit as long as you say south of the highway til Pensacola. Then you're on your own.

Actually, my money for college complaints have become irrelevant, PSAT scores qualified for nqmst scholarship + Florida bright futures scholarship, so I'm guaranteed almost completely free state college via academic merit

So quit your spoiled brat bitching. Spoiled brat.

That doesn't make sense. If they sponsor people's education so much in Florida, the average Floridian should be smarter than people from states where they have to cough up that money themselves.

Moose don't like dogs, at least in Alaska they don't.  When I was living in Anchorage I heard about a few different times that moose had come in through a window in order to kick a dog to death.

Moose don't like dogs because they mistake them for wolves. I saw a report that said moose attacks on humans are increasing because moose see human associating with dogs and think humans are collaborating with wolves.

I got the distinct impression from the show that moose could often be found lumbering through the forest in a foul mood, muttering under their breath and looking for trouble.
