For about 25 years with roughly 30 warriors Geronimo terrorized 2 nations, was wounded and survived several times and to me still stands as one of the greatest men that ever lived.

Like it or not he has earned some measure of respect for avoiding capture or death for nearly 10 years after pulling off the most notable terrorist attack in history while several super powers were looking for him. Geronimo was equally hated and feared by his enemies in his day.

I gotta disagree.  Geronimo was huge into the tragic hero thing.  I think having his enemy's grandsons screaming his name for courage would tickle him pink.
