TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Another brave, do-or-die moment from the democratic party.

The thing is, if the US defaults now, it is fucked.  If it defaults later, it is fucked.   The only real difference is when you do want to be fucked?

In my case, always later.  I have a headache now.  No fucking for me.

So, what sort of things should someone do to prepare for this inevitable fuckery?

Tribe up,  get a group of friends that you can rely on and make sure there is a mix of skills that will cover what you need to survive and thrive.

going survivalist wont work because the government will still be around to take your guns.  You just want to be off their radar as much as possible.
You're a special case, Babylon.  You are offensive even when you don't post.

Merely by being alive, you make everyone just a little more miserable

Canned food and bottled water will help you weather the price rises and reduce your need to go out (and can still be used in the event I'm wrong).

A good security system and decent gun wont hurt either.

It's also a good idea to eat what you store in order to avoid your body reacting to diet changes. If you do this it will allow you to rotate your stock to keep it fresher longer.

The Mormons did have one or two good ideas.

Fuck that.  I'm going to play with the other kids in the ruins until someone eats me.

Yeah, that was pretty awesome to watch this past weekend.  Also made me wonder what SNL would've done for an opening sketch on it.

I don't recall, but he's a Republican anyway.  Not sure anyone from the Red Side would give a shit what Obama said about them.

No, but it is more proof the Democrats are incapable of anything but eating their own.

Obama weighs in.

Did Obama ask David Vitter to resign?  Refresh my memory here.

Vitter's thing broke in 07 before Obama was POTUS.

There were isolated calls from some Repubs to censor him, and the Democratic Party of LA called for him to step down.

I think the fact that the Madame visits happened nearly a decade before the names were released probably had something to do with people shrugging it off.

That's been the criticism on Pelosi et al who've publicly called for him to step down.  That they're throwing him under the bus so that they can do business with the Republicans.  WHO, as we know, DO NOT ask for their OWN to step down.  EVAR.  Just the Democrats.  And so the Democratic establishment nods and does so.

Jeanine Garafalo bitched out the two media whores on Maher's show about that very thing on Friday night--saying if the media laid off Weiner's wiener, then there'd be more business done and more highlighting of shit THAT MATTERED.

But media whores hate hearing they're DOING IT WRONG.

Key word there, and never the establishment.

From a ratings POV, they're doing it right.

Yeah, but get them to ADMIT that.
