If it is in some archive somewhere I don't know, I delete messages at my Facebook page.  Frankly I'm surprised that is not a habit for everyone, but then again I'm a lot more paranoid than most.

personally (not that I use facebook) I'm paranoid enough that I don't believe deleted messages are actually deleted, they are just marked "deleted" so you don't see them anymore. And professionally, from a software engineering point-of-view, I'm fairly certain that's the case, because storage space is ridiculously cheap and it's cheaper (for them) to mark-as-deleted than to actually delete.

I could be wrong, but there's not much reason for them to not keep them around, somewhere, waiting for a subpoena.

I suspect it was the OpSafeKids link. Just because that actually makes sense and is consistent with Yatto's story and Yatto's actual behavior up until this point; sometimes stupid, but not actually malicious. Spamming you with porn just doesn't make any sense, whereas posting a link to OpSafeKids, which I know he shared with a bunch of people, does.

I'm not saying you should like him. Just that I doubt he deliberately porn bombed you.

They don't even make a pretense of deleting them. When you hit the x next to a message, it archives it, and you can see all your archived messages since forever by clicking the magnifying glass next to the "search messages" box at the top left of the message screen, and selecting "archived messages" from the drop-down menu.

Well Khara, something stinks here now, and it's not you. I don't know why, but blindly accepting that his account was hacked feels wrong to me. If it was he would have correspondence between himself and facebook over it. I guess I would like to see some of that.

I was taking a break from PD when this pornspam business went down. (and this is a number of months ago and I don't have a record, so my memory may be a bit spotty) Mah Fnord contacted me via FB chat to ask for my advice. He said that Roger had reported him to the police for distributing child porn and he was scared. I asked him what the story was, and he said that the only thing he'd been spamming was a link to the OpSafeKids FB page -- which, at the time, had been spammed with porn.

He wanted to start a PR campaign to clear his name. My advice to him (especially after I found out the cops were involved) was to back away slowly, forget that PD existed, and for the love of god stop poking people. (IIRC I hadn't logged into PD for a month and had less than zero interest in getting involved.)


As far as him spamming Liam -- is it an issue? Liam doesn't want to be involved with the community anymore, I doubt he cares one way or the other whether PD hates Yatto on his behalf.

I have no idea anymore Charley.  I find it weird because if it was not his account, then someone friended a lot of people from here with the direct intention of causing yatto problems and then just used the account as if everything were normal for quite a while.  That is a lot of trouble for someone to go to.  It also means that most of us from here had the wrong Mah Fnord on their Facebook friend list because he friended me and I accepted because we had a bunch of friends in common all of whom were from here.

I would personally be freaking the fuck right out that someone would put that much effort into fucking with me.  I mean barracading the door and getting restraining orders freaking out.

It makes no sense for Yatto to have sent you pornlinks Khara, when it wasn't even you he was having issues with. Far too convoluted and scheming, if you ask me. And totally not his style. That wasn't a "heat of the moment" outburst, that was a concerted effort to . . . I don't know what, but that doesn't seem to be his style at all.

Trip I have no idea to be honest, when the link was opened it was pornographic pictures, the other link was to a video.  Where these pictures and video were housed, I have no clue at all.  The message that the links were in came from Mah Fnord.  

I messaged back in complete cunt mode and made a shit ton of threats because I was pissed.  My daughter pops on my facebook sometimes.  I did report the account to Facebook and I did call my local law enforcement to see what my options were, again because I was madder than a wet hen.  It was extremely graphic and all I could think of was dear god what if Joy had opened this?
