This thread is two years old now, when I worked at a different agency.  I don't do any direct service in my current job.

Now, I work side by side, behind the scenes, with my evil overlords at the DEA to see to it every last person who touches a joint is locked in prison for the rest of their productive lives. 

Actually, I'm kinda like an orc.  See, there's this head DEA wizard guy that creates us and conditions us to think the way we do.  We grow in the ground like Uruks until we're "done" and then we spring forth from the ground ready to wreak havoc on filthy hippies everywhere!!!!

Well, I do have some dreamy brown eyes along with my brown hair.  I was always told by friends that meant i was full of shit right up to my eyeballs.  It's lie it was foreshadowing or something.

And I did take a zoning laws class as part of my graduate studies but I did not go for an Urban Planning degree.  Those guys were jerks.  I almost did a joint (Heh, I said joint) law degree with the actual degree I received, but, well, hanging out with wannabee lawyers didn't seem very appealing.

I mean, it's not as though the DEA is one of the most corrupt and self-serving of all government agencies, and it's certainly not as though its primary job is to justify its own budget.

I know, like how they just got 7 tons of expired medications out of the homes of Mainers, plus who knows how many other tons of medications nationwide.  Can you believe that selfish, self-serving bullshit.  I mean, who the fuck do they think they are trying to make homes safer?????

Or like how they set up a distribution network in LA for crack cocaine, the funds for which were funneled to the CIA and then eventually to the Contras in Nicaragua. Or how every couple of months they kick in someone's door and shoot the place up and then find out it was the wrong house. Or how it would be nearly impossible for Los Zetas to have the level of intelligence and freedom of movement across the border that they currently enjoy without having several paid informants in the DEA. Or how sometimes, instead of arresting a mid-to-high level dealer, they leave them on the street so they can shake them down whenever the wife needs a new piece of jewelry.

I mean, they're practically saints!

I said I was having doubts, and asked you to confirm it directly. Kai says that you confirmed it, and I've already said that I don't think you would directly lie. Whether ECH believes it is up to him. However, as reality doesn't seem to be your strong suit, you can go on thinking that I'm ardently denying that you're the guy who goes around to high schools telling kids not to do drugs.

Not even sure I believe that you work in the field that you claim to work in, at this point.

In other words, he actually does the job he claims to do, but doesn't have a degree in a related field.

I dunno Nigel, it looks like you were pretty sure I was being less than truthful about my career and experience.  But I'm glad to see that you've come to accept the truth. (or is it the truth?)
