TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

No more Jeep?

Ah shit, more thread jack.  NM, catch you in another one.

The jeep is still kicking, but he won't let me use it for sunroofing anymore.  :x

:lulz: my sunroof is permanent at the moment.  Have to order a new rag and haven't gotten around to it.

I think LuciferX was saying  and doing exactly what he meant in his first sentence.  It was expected anyway, I think.

I know, it's kinda a pickle...  If not restricting access, maybe the ability to submit comments should be awarded by merit?

Having my own little section might spur me on to write more.  I mean, I can definitely see such a thing appealing to me and perhaps make putting in the long hours into doing a proper and thorough analysis and then writing it all up more palatable.

But then again it might not spur me on that much.

Net, I do agree the quality has improved greatly since that thread.  However, I would also say we are still more at a "link quote comment: fucked up thing" stage than a "analysis of stuff" one, and that seems to be the thing people would prefer, going by this thread.

I admit I've done my own share of "Link -> 'OMG' -> post" without meaningful commentary -- but the majority of the time, that's because I really don't know what to make of it.  I suppose I could spend more time asking specific questions, though.

I'd also like to point out that every time I see the title of this thread, I immediately start singing Public Enemy.

I think that would be a good idea, not (just) because I like to read your essays on current events, but because I really like those essays where you look at the bigger picture. Those essays stay relevant for a very long time, but they get hard to find after a while because there is no search function.

Just now I was re-reading the Fascist Virus, and found an old essay of yours titled "Fascist Culture" on Or Kill Me, which was marked as read for some reason, even though I don't remember reading it.

Anyway, even if it won't make you write more, I think it would be really cool if I could find those old essays without having to google things like
