BH is practically banned for all practical reasons, he cant do anything besides read the threads, because if he posts anything in any context he gets flooded with negative feedback and insults

If everyone hates him so much and hes gonna keep being hounded, make a vote and ban him; i know "pd doesnt do that", but might as well given the circumstance, and we could avoid a lot of drama.

But it's not Babs. It's the "Kangaroo court".

While he didn't do anything worth banning I can't say I'm going to cry about it if that piece of shit finds a hostile environment here. He did it to himself. No, he did things to OTHERS, and these are the consequences. Tough. Fucking. Titty.

Personally I make every effort to ignore him completely, including his content. Especially his content.

That said I agree 100% that it's worth having the rules we have if it means we have to put up with him, which isnt exactly arduous, is it?

He's really just an annoyance and I definitely don't think the rules should be changed in order to ban him.

Right now though, I am far more annoyed that Joh'Nyx looked at how many people hate his guts, and instead of wondering why they feel that way about him, decided to tell them they're being unfair and unreasonable.

OK, fine; maybe he'll enjoy it if he gets chosen the next time BH decides it'll be funny to accuse someone of pedophilia.

Im not condoning BHs behaviour or insults to other PD members, im approaching this from board functionality

I think i wouldnt have had any problem with what happened if the thread was split

Also, just as a thought experiment, imagine i had a personal fight with someone and would start hounding them all over the board about it, ruining any thread where with whom i had the fight was the OP; surely others that had any vague interest in the thread, which was jacked by my personal vendetta, would have a problem with the vendetta interfering with the thread

Now maybe u can say "but its BH", which makes it easier to target him because a lot of people hate his guts, but the principle is flawed; say if Freeky and me had a problem and we hounded each other, how would that look? or how would it look if it was between Alty and Nigel?

Im just saying its a flawed and disruptive principle from which to act

Flawed analogy.  You and Freeky aren't BH.

But what do ponies think about Anarchism and Welfare?  Or BH?  Or threadjacking?

It's happened. It'll probably happen again, too.

What do you want to have happen? A new rule instituted?

When people do it, what invariably happens is that they get a bunch of people pissed at them. They may even find that everyone starts ignoring them, or that a few people start shitting all over them every time they post. It tends to be a self-correcting condition.

This thread accidentally the whole Anarchism AND the Welfare....

The only "rules" discussion happening is about how to kick people out of the tribe and we have freaking MAGICAL FAIRY PONIES.

It's the only way Anarchy could possibly manifest. Nice material example guys.

This board is run on mostly-anarchistic principles, which is totally functional for a small community.

A threat emerges, the tribe responds.

A lot of people imagine that in an anarchist or libertarian society, they would not have to face social pressures. The opposite is true, and if they ever fucking bothered reading up on history and the philosophies they claim to espouse, they would know that in the absence of governmental pressure, social pressure becomes the law of the land. FFS, we experienced that not all that long ago during the "Wild West" days.

But some people is stupid and can't learn.
