You will, this weekend, meet 2 new people outside of the music scene, and strike up a conversation with them, ABOUT them.  You will not talk about you, or villager, or any problems you are having.  These people may be met at the same time or separately, which ever works.

You will then post about it here.

You will then write a song about the weirdest/most horrible/coolest/whatever thing about either or both people and/or their stories.

This quest, it is good, but, my dear Man Yellow, repetition is the heart of SCIENCE!, so I will offer as my Doktorly advice that our good Nephew repeat this experiment whenever he can.

But that is TOMORROW, and tomorrow is the ENEMY.  We will worry about that some other time.

This is not a matter of SCIENCE, which was the purview of the late Doktor Howl, it is a matter of HOLINESS™, and waste disposal (specifically, the horrible crud packed up around Twid's brain stem)...And I am nothing if not an expert on waste disposal.

Tonight I met a man named Adam at one of the local bars.

Now, I know I'm supposed to be laying off the hooch for this, but:
a) It's New England. We don't talk to strangers very often unless it's in a bar setting and one of the participants is drunk.
b) It's New England. October can be very unpredictable. Considering that I just walked about 6 blocks shivering the whole damn time with two shirts and a decent coat, I probably won't be finding many people in New England this weekend otherwise who want to engage in conversation.

I had a beer as a prop, and a tequila with hot sauce and cheese and broccoli soup to brace the cold when I left.

So, Adam, he's a 40 something guy who lives in Somerville. His wife is going out of town in 5 days, which is when he is throwing a raging keggah, dood (Hope the keg is inside dood) . He hates the Yankees, and expects Detroit to beat the shit out of them next week. He loves Somerville and "regular people". He struck me as pretty blue collar. He was mocking his drinking friends for their intolerance to the cold. He stated at one point that he would drink turpentine if someone put it in front of him. Talking to him was somewhat awkward. I went there with the intent of talking to someone, my chuckling at his turpentine comment opened the door, and him continuing to look at me eventually made conversation necessary. but otherwise we didn't really talk about much other than baseball and Somerville, even though he kept looking at me, without my prompting, or even having struck up a conversation yet, and after the conversation lulled and died.

It was almost like he subconsciously knew I was there to talk to someone and that someone had to be him. He didn't want to do it, but dammit, that's why he and I happened to be at the same bar at the same time.

He is your spirit totem.

You know have to eat him and add his power to your own.

He didn't look very good to eat though. Plus, in order to meet him again I'll have to go back to that same bar until he shows up again, except for Wednesday, when I know that he most definitely won't be there.
