Cardinal Pizza Deliverance.

Sorry. Guess my brain jumped the track there. I'm thinking treating her like a Grade A bad-ass when she hasn't done shit for longer than I've been alive is sort of a disproportionate response, similar in over-reaction to that of blowing people up. I know there's a vast difference but I'm thinking the amount of dehumanizing and self-righteousness and just plain crazy you have to be to be okay with that kinda shit is of similar orders of magnitude.

Yeah she's a criminal. Therefore she's not really a person.
Yeah they're priviledged twats/infidels/sheep/whatever reason. Therefore it's okay to blow them up.

But I freely admit my head isn't really in this game right now so carry on.

It's a level-of-response thing.

She has more or less sat on her ass for 40 years.  She's a fugitive.

Now, she's Osama Bin Ladin, somehow.

But I am now told that because she writes bad stuff about white people, she BELONGS in the most wanted terrorist list.

Which, you know, says a few things all by itself.

Edgar Ray Killen wasn't put on the terrorist list.

I wonder why that is.

Yeah, I saw that.

Next they'll be adding dead people: ABBIE HOFFMAN ADDED TO TERRORIZT LIST HIDE HIDE HIDE

Well, if you allow "special exceptions" to the rules for law enforcement, etc, for "terrorism", pretty soon EVERYTHING is terrorism.

Verthaine called this shit, way back in 2003.

Is the post still around someplace? I'd like to see that...not that I don't believe it, I do. Because Verthaine.

Well, you know, Roger.

She's one of those people.

Don't want them getting any ideas.

There hasn't been a peep out of her in forty years. If she's still alive, she's harmless, like Kathy Power.

Oh, wait, BLACK.

Let's not be scared of these witch hunt FBI/CIA mindfucks, LET'S BE SCARED OF OLD BLACK LADIES. OMG, I SAW ONE YESTERDAY. MAYBE IT WAS HER. I SHOULD MAKE A PHONE CALL.

Edgar Ray Killen murdered 3 civil rights workers, to shut them up and intimidate the rest.  This would be the dictionary definition of terrorism.  He, too, went 40 years...At home.  Then they finally were arsed to make a good case against him in 2005 or so.

He was arrested, but never called a "terrorist".  It probably had nothing to do with the fact that he was a White guy that killed Those People.

Junkenstein

I've got a link in my head between the targeting of people like this (Eldery/minority/essentially harmless now) and the recent discussions about entitlement and privilege.

To me, this looks like targeting someone based on the lack of public will to defend the person and knowing that said person will not be able to mount an exceptional legal defence.

It's an easy win for the war on terror, with the added bonus of helping normalise the demonisation of pretty much anyone you are inclined to incarcerate.
Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

he was also imprisoned effectively for 60 years...he served his time and didn't incite violence against people who happen to look like me.

No, just people who DIDN'T look like you. So that makes it OK.

I thought I was gonna be vindicated for sticking my neck out, many threads ago.

There is no statute of limitation on murder. 40 years ago or not, this person committed a crime, and the law is responsible for dealing with that.

The law.

Not the fucking Department of Homeland Security.

The idea that it's even remotely sensible to bring the weight of American antiterrorist authorities and forces against someone who's been out of the game for 40 years is the very definition of chickenshit white people. It has nothing to do with stopping terror, and everything to do with creating it.

This.

And the fact that a person who hasn't been arrested in 40 years has rehabilitated themselves anyway. Which prison sucks at, but it's not about rehabilitation anyway.

None of this is about anything but a fuckton of bullshit.
