Also, I am happy.  I'll get the villa to myself, every weekend that I have off.  It has a pretty good view of Lake Geneva.  Talked with my line manager at the new place too.  He thinks I will find it "absurdly easy" there, coming from what I have told him of my experience.  Note: I edited out certain large parts of gross mismanagement, negligence, violence and ongoing disciplinary issues that are never resolved.

I will have to do more work.  I'll actually have to check the kids are doing homework, for example.  Go on trips.  Organise a social calendar.  Get up before midday.  But I'll have a quarter of the number of students I currently do, 4 times the number of staff supporting me directly, daily meetings with all levels of the boarding administration AND...no board of governers.  If I have a good idea and the rest of the boarding team agrees, I can implement it right away.
