Well be fair, it depends on what your end goals are for said pandering.

Some are pandering for personal profit and do quite well. Others pimp themselves out to business interests and do quite well again.

Given how quickly she's bowed out after stepping forward, I would guess she's probably trying to position herself in some kind of lobbying post thanks to Daddy's name and connections. Might just be annoying and crazy enough to stick around until full crazy takes over.
